I've been in winds cool enough to make me shiver quite bad.
Still, many fresh breezes blow by making me glad.
I've heard of a select few writers scarred by a past love.
Healthy intimacy is something they seldom write of.
Have they never had a sweet taste of normal affection?
How sorrowful because it's a plentiful confection.
Perhaps, they prefer writing about the darkness in life.
Outside writing, emotional trauma creates internal strife.
