Y/N POV (swag pov) (this is also set in normal time)

I sigh as I exit my apartment building that I share with my parents. We just got into another fight because I was expelled out of yet ANOTHER school. I have been expelled from so many different schools. 10 in the past 18 years of my life. I mean, can you blame me?! It's not even my fault! I never caused any of those "incidents". I pulled out my phone and opened Spotify to listen to a random playlist of mine.

"How does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore and a Scottsman, 
dropped in the middle of a forgotten spot,
In the middle of the Caribbean,
A providence impoverished, in squalor,
Grow up to be a hero and a scholar?"

( I see you there, finish the lyrics)

It was about to continue when someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around to see a woman dressed in all black, with a black veil covering her face.

"What the-"

"How the hell is this person wearing this long-sleeved black dress and veil when it's like, 92° outside?"

"May I help you miss?" I ask the lady.

"Yes, you seem like you need help." She responded.

"Pardon me?"

"Do you need some food? Advice? Someone to listen to you? Oh! Silly me! You can call me Aunty Em."

Those are the words that changed my life.

Her voice seemed kind and calming enough, so I followed her to her house which wasn't too far from here.

"You remind me of someone I met years ago. He was very kind. I also knew his father. Both handsome men. You remind me of them very, very much..." She says but starts to mutter at the end.

"This is my home away from home. I own a garden gnome emporium over in New Jersey. Maybe you heard of it?"

"What is the name?"

"Aunty Em's Garden Gnome Emporium."

"I have not heard of it. Maybe I'll visit this summer."

"Please do! It gets lonely over there. Barely any customers anymore." She says enthusiastically.

"Some tea?" She asks while holding a porcelain teapot.

"No thank you."

"Are you sure?" She starts slightly waving the teapot in front of my face. The delicious aroma from (y/f/t) wafted before my nose. I would normally question why she knows that I like (y/f/t), but it smelled too good to resist.

"Just one cup, please."

She pours me a cup, and I graciously take the cup before taking a sip.

"So, (y/n), where's your family from?"

"This is actually my hometown! My parents have lived here for a while now." I respond, feeling slightly sleepy.

She nods while rummaging around, looking for something. I remember something she said and decide to question her about it.

"Excuse me, miss, but... How did you know my name?" I question warily.

"Just a guess... Do you mind if I take a picture of you to model at my emporium? People are more attracted to ...younger audiences." She requests

"Of course! I don't mind! How would you like me to be positioned?" I interrogate.

"Let me just take off my veil." She responds before lifting her hands up to the black veil covering her face.

"Wait a second, she did seem kinda suspicious earlier, asking if I wanted something to eat or some advice. Plus, who wears that kind of outfit in 92-degree weather? That name is kind of weird. Plus, I have been hearing a slight hissing noise ever since I met her. And, she was able to see completely fine before, why take off the veil now..."  I think.

"CLOSE YOUR EYES!" I hear someone shout from outside, before an arrow comes and smashes the window.

Cliffhanger much?

SORRY, BUT I WANTED TO END IT SOMEWHERE, AND THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD PLACE TO END IT :)

I know Percy isn't in this part (yet) but again, I wanted to end it here.
