Each time you indulge in the emotion of anger or the behavior of yelling at a loved one, you reinforce the neutral connection and increase the likelihood that you'll do it again.

Liz nods her head, pulling her into another tight hug, "Royalty I'm so
sorry. I'm sorry." I know this is going to happen when her voice went down to a whisper.

But 'sorry' can't replace what Royalty had been through, 'sorry' can't erase the past, it can literally do nothing at this point, it's pointless and useless saying sorry when the damage had been done, what had happened has happened. Sorry can't undo any action. To me, it's just a mere word people use as an excuse.

"Liz, you don't have to cry." I try consoling her, she shouldn't break down in front of Royalty even if it's really that hard.

"Can I call you mommy?" Royalty's voice rang in my ears.

Liz almost smiled and mutter a yes.

"Like Megan calls her mom?"

"Yes." I reply this time kissing her temple. Her lips spread into a smile giving the both of us a hug. I've never been this happy in my life.

"We finally did it." I hear Liz whisper beside me, earning a smile from me.

X.         X.          X.       X
"Thanks." I hear Liz say as soon as we leave Royalty's room after putting her to bed.

"For what?" I halt my tracks as she bumps into me, she made a small laugh and unexpectedly by me, she took my hand.

"For believing me, for giving me a chance." She approves, the smile getting wider every second.

"It's nothing really. You deserve this, she deserves this. I can't believe I'm saying this to you but- you're crazy." I would never had thought I'll become this close to Liz again after her departure, but something you don't expect to happen happens.

"And I can't believe you did it, you're not being the arrogant Roman."

"Yeah mood swings." I chuckle. I glance at the clock, it was almost 10 in the night so I asked her when she was leaving.

Her mouth fell open like she was going to say something but apparently nothing came out.

"I- uh... I was thinking of leaving. Now."

I narrow my eyes at her, she was being down all of a sudden. As those words escaped her mouth, she started to walk to the door.

"Liz." It feels like I was chasing her away. Normally, I won't even care but with all that had occured between us, it's a no. "I didn't mean to, you can-'

"It's alright, it's late anyways, y-"

"I'll take you home." I finalize, I prance to my room to get my car keys.

When I got back, Liz stood, eye widened as she stares at me but didn't say anything.

"C'mon."

"How 'bout Royalty?"

"She's safe, the doors are locked."

"You should be showing this side of you Rome. One can't tell you are this sweet, I mean, back in high school, you were that bad b-"

I clear my throat, she understands what it meant.

She understands me just as I understand her. She knows I was signaling her to shut up.

"Sorry." She mutters. I didn't say anything, I just dig my fingers to my hair as I start the car.

"Why don't you even want me talk about it?" She asks.

"Because I want you to shut up."

She huffs, "It's my mouth." in annoyance.

"I never said it isn't yours. It's my car."   I Provoke her.

"I never said it isn't yours." She shot back.

"Feisty. You clearly haven't changed."

"Roman." She warns, glaring at me.

"This is how I feel when you also act like this." I admit through gritted teeth. She should also know how annoying it when she does that to me too.

"Roman." She called again, "I'm dropping-"

"Bye." I blurt out.

"THEN STOP THE DAMN CAR" She belted.

I bit my lips to calm my nerve as I try to control my breathing, I need to think, this isn't like the other day, it's really dark out here in the middle of the road, I can't leave her here but she's really getting on my nerves.

"Rome, I said stop the damn car!" She repeats.

See what I'm talking about.
