"I don't deserve you Jaemin..."
"What makes you say that?"
"You're a kind, considerate, intelligent and humble person. The most of them I've ever met."
"Then you deserve me, Park Hyejin."

Brighter than the light.
That's how luminescing Hyejin's smile is to Jaemin's eyes. It was indeed very hard to accept that the fun night was over. Standing in front of the familiar gates of her house, yet Jaemin is still unable to let go of her hand while Jaein and Jeno watch the two from the comfortable seats of their car.
"Does Hyejin like him?" Jaein shrugs at her boyfriend's question.
"After tonight, she should be able to answer that." Jaein eyes the new necklace on Hyejin, "After all, I think Jaemin really did his best this time."
The front door opens to slightly reveal a curious Hajoon. Jaemin opens his arms at the boy, giving him a hug, "Did you kiss her?" Hajoon's whisper turned out to be louder than the three had expected. The stunned look on Jaemin's face made him frown, "Why not?"
"A-Alright let's just go." Hyejin takes Hajoon from Jaemin's arms, looking down on him with a blush at the question that he asked earlier on, "Go back inside for a while."
Hajoon smiles and obediently follows his sister's words. That is after giving Jaemin a wink and thumbs up.
"I'm sorry for that sudden question. I don't know why he knows this stuff when he's only eight."
"Kids these days, I guess." Jaemin lights the mood up once again, "I'll see you soon? At school?"
"Mhm. I'll see you then."
It's funny how many times they have said such words yet they still took their leisure, obviously not wanting separate ways just yet.
Come on, Jaem. Just let go of your hold on her hand. Jaemin takes a deep breath and hovers his palm on the sides of Hyejin's face, "Can I...?" Hyejin nods bashfully, letting his warm palms rest on her cheeks. Before Hyejin could register anything else, Jaemin pressed a quick kiss on her forehead and quickly let her go, dashing off to the car where he was sure that Jaein would tease him.
Perplexed by the sudden action, Hyejin stood frozen before a car honk pulled her out of her daze, "See you at school, Jinnie." Hyejin waves at the disappearing car timidly although the smile on her face juxtaposed that.
Her insides went crazy at the thought. She reaches over to her forehead, touching the part where Jaemin's soft lips landed while the other fiddled with the necklace on her neck.
Is this happiness? Because if it is. She would quite literally die for it. She walks inside the house with that dreamy thought. Happiness...
...does not exist in this house.
"When I said that I wasn't going to be home," her mother approaches her now attentive state, "that wasn't a sign for you to go out."
Hyejin scoffs at her earlier thoughts, happiness is a joke. Nothing lasts forever.
"Answer your mother. Don't be a brat. Respect your parents." Daehyun wraps his arms lovingly around Sunhee.
