Water fell from the sky with a pace that made it seem like it was personally attacking anyone who dared be on the street at eleven o'clock at night. Freya Grey was not enjoying it.

However, it did seem like punishment for the crime she committed yesterday.

Freya had technically stolen from the Black family but was it really stealing if it belonged to Sirius Black. If anything, she was returning it.

Ten minutes after Sirius had stormed out of his house the other day, Freya and Regulus walked down the stairs to the living room. There were two broken vases, and his mother was staring blankly at the windows before leaving the room without a word.

Something changed in the room; another black splotch appeared where Sirius's face used to be. Regulus looked like he was about to cry and forced every emotion to leave his body.

Freya then excused herself to the restroom, sending Regulus a silent note, then disappeared into Sirius's bedroom. Ignoring the posters of half-naked women covering his walls, she made quick work.

Afterward, she met Regulus in the music room, despite his tear-stained and fragile face, he managed to say. "James Potter."

That's all she needed. She gently patted his shoulder a bit awkwardly and then left through the floo network.

Then she went to planning.

It took an entire morning of prep and research, but she managed to track down the address since the floo network wouldn't work for houses that were strangers to each other.

Her feet were soaked with rain, and her hair was going to be an absolute mess after it. The black cloak over her shoulders did little to help the intrusive rain but at least shield the fact that she was wearing a white shirt, and the skirt she had was stained from when she slipped in the mud.

Thankfully, the Potter house was in sight.

She held her bag to her chest and walked up the driveway. This was not her plan at all.

Regardless, she walked up the front door and got on her knees. She pulled out a shrunk metal cage then placed a water goblet. With her wand in hand, she muttered a spell then tapped it. It transformed it into a brown owl, who began hooting and screeching.

"No, don't-" She attempted to soothe it, but then saw the lights turn on inside the house. Quickly, she pulled out Sirius' cloak, and before she could get up, the door open.

"Thought I heard something." A handsome man with greying hair smiled at Freya. "Are you alright, dear?"

Freya knelt in panicked fright and embarrassment, her mouth opened in an attempt to respond, but quickly another person came behind the man. "Dear, who is it?" A woman with a strong nose and long hair glanced over her. "Another one of them?"

"Sorry, ma'am-"

"Come along dear, you'll catch a cold out there." The older man helped her up and ushered her in the house gently.

Despite her protest, she was whisked inside the Potter home and was instantly hit with the scent of cinnamon. Both of the adults were dressed in sleepwear and seemed rather calm about this whole thing.

"That's not necessary-"

"JAMES, WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE." The woman called up the stairs grabbing the owl cage from the front door, nose scrunching in confusion.

"I'm not-"

"What did you say your name was, dear?" James's father asked kindly.

"Freya?" James' bushy brows furrow whilst he walked down the stairs in blue striped pajama bottoms and a tee-shirt. His eyes skimmed over her appearance as he walked over to her.
