Chapter 34- Sports Festival: Part 2

3rd POV:

"HEY! GET READY, AUDIENCE!" Present Mic said, screaming into the mic as the crowd shouted in excitement.

"It's the high school fighting ground that you all love! Everybody, the UA Sports Festival is about to begin!" He screamed as the crowd roared in cheers.

Many citizens and heroes came to watch the long awaited sports festival event that is broadcasted all over Japan. But not only Japan, but also the whole world as many come to watch this glorious event.

Many heroes came for the heighten security that UA imposed on after the recent attack that took place on USJ three weeks ago. While many came for this reason, there is also another as this is a chance for pros to scout students to their agencies. Being scouted by pro heroes is an important goal for students that are participating in the Sports Festival Event.

"Now, let's welcome the first-year students!" Present Mic announces as the first-year students enter the arena.

"Although they were just attacked by villains during their first week of school, they overcame them and defeated them all with heart and minds of steel!"

"The Hero Course, Class 1-A!" The crowd started going wild as Class 1-A made their way inside the arena.

Izuku looked around and saw the sea of people that were waving and pumping their fist in the air, the excitement can be seen in all of their faces. He couldn't help but smile and wave back to the people. He couldn't help but excited as well.

"Woah, Izuku! Your really excited huh?" Mina commented as Izuku nodded his head.

"Of course! We've been training for weeks with Umi just for this and we're finally here!" Izuku said as he had a bright smile on.

His classmates squinted their eyes as his smile was too bright for their eyes to see without protection.

"Next, the class that doesn't have much attention yet, but are just chock-full of talent! Let's give it up for, Hero Course, Class 1-B!" Present Mic announces as the class made their way into the arena.

"And next are the General Course, Class C, D, E!" They made their way inside as a familiar blonde had a mad expression as she made her way inside the arena.

Present Mic then announced the remaining classes which consists the support course classes F, G, and H, and lastly the management course classes I, J, and K.

"I am your commentator, Present Mic! And with me is Eraserhead!" Hizashi announced as Shouta groaned in the mic annoyingly, after being dragged by him at a place he didn't want to be in.

"Looks like dad was dragged by papa to the commentator box." Izuku said as Hitoshi chuckled.

"Now, everyone, please meet the first year chief referee, it's the 18+ pro hero: Midnight!" Midnight then got up on the stage as a crowd of men were at awe with her revealing costume.

"May I call on the student representative of Class 1-A of the hero course. Izuku Aizawa." Midnight shouted as everyone looked at Izuku who had a confused face.

"Wait, me?!" Izuku said as he pointed on himself as Midnight nodded.

"Just go ya nerd." Katsuki said as he pushed Izuku forward.

Izuku looked a bit shaken since it will be his first time to make a speech in such a huge crowd. He looked behind him and saw all of his classmates encouraging him and were giving thumbs-ups. This gave Izuku enough courage to walk up on stage and grab the mic to give a short speech.

"Uhm, H-hello everyone. I pledge to do my best, regardless of me winning this event or not. I hope that all of you that are here to watch this event, will see how bright and hopeful the future of heroics will be. Watch, as we are all merely seedlings as of now, but in the future we will sprout into trees that will withstand the harshest calamities of this world. I also hope that you all will enjoy our performance for today. Thank you very much." Izuku bowed before finishing his speech.
