" IS THERE A NUMBER WE CAN CALL ? FOR YOUR PARENTS ? " mike asked , looking down at the girl.
the girl was draped in jades raincoat sitting on the sofa in jades basement.
" where's your hair ? do you have cancer ? "
" did you run away ? "
" are you in some kind of trouble ? "
" is that blood ? " lucas reached out to touch the blood mark when jade swatted his hand away.
" stop it ! you're scaring the poor girl. " jade scolded lucas , sending a smile towards the shivering girl.
" she's scaring me ! " lucas defended himself , jade scoffing.
" i bet she's deaf. " dustin clapped his hands near the girls face , she flinched.
" not deaf. " dustin shrugged.
" quit it , all right ? she's scared and cold. " jade walked over to her hamper of clean washed clothes.
the smith girl picked out a pair of grey joggers , a yellow sweater with a daisy on the front and some underwear and bralette.
" here you go. " jade smiled passing the clothes to the girl.
the girl looked at jades clothes , placing them on her cheek for comfort. the boys found it weird , jade somehow found it cute.
