NOVEMBER ELEVENTH , 1983

JADE BROUGHT HER MOMS MAKE UP BOX INTO HER room , sitting opposite eleven.

" okay , i haven't done makeup before but i hope i make you look prettier than you already are. not saying you can get any more prettier but — whatever. " jade stopped herself before she ramble any further.

jade then grabbed blush , applying it to els cheeks. normally , el would flinch at someone like that but she didn't. she felt safe with jade , like she couldn't be hurt.

while jade did that , the boys where looking throughout the girls' box of halloween costumes : finding the blonde wig joan used for her carol danvers aka captain marvel costume.

mike also found jades pink , lace dress in the pile of things sophia had just washed.

jade then put on some chapstick , smiling at what she did. eleven looked gorgeous.

" i like it. " jade smiled , putting back her mother's makeup where it went.

" really ? " eleven asked , following jades movements.

" pinky swear. " jade sat down infront of eleven , holding out her right pinky.

" pinky swear ? " eleven questioned , looking down at jays finger.

" it's like a promise. people say you have to cut of your pinky of you break a pinky swear , that's why i don't break them. " jade explained , somehow believing the myth.
