Chapter XII

A huff left kugisakis mouth as the four of them had hiked more than 20 miles to the abandoned village that sat a few more miles away from their destination itself.

"I can't believe we have to walk all the way there! There's no trains or buses or cars or anything that goes here! Not to mention around here in general! This is like the ghost area of Japan!"

"Well it did say this area was secluded from normal people in the book, not to mention...this place is full of curses"

At fushiguros words the four looked around, noticing some small sized curses crawling along the floors, quickly being eliminated by the snap of Gojos fingers.

They made their way through the town, slowly to catch their breath from their Long hike but at the same time admiring the decayed and destroyed ruins of the village

"How old do you think this village is?"

"A good one thousand years, I'm surprised it still has some foundation left at this point"

"Studentssss!~ look up there!"

The three teens looked up to where their sensei was pointing his slim finger and stared in awe at the large castle standing at the top of the hill, the sky above it dark, no sign of the sun, meaning no sign of life.

"That's where we have to go"

"Oh my god. That was so many stairs!.."

"Agreed."

Three students were hunched over as they desperately tried to take in as much oxygen as their body would let them and resting their legs from the excruciating walk up the thousands of stairs. The unaffected teacher laughed at the misery of the three before looking towards the mossy building standing Infront of them, vines all along the walls, cursed energy seeping through the holes of missing bricks and missing windows, he quickly took big strides with his long legs towards the entrance of decayed wood as his students stood behind him, not fully recovered but enough energy regained to continue

"This place feels weird..."

"Tell me about it..."

As they pushed on the wooden doors they instantly fell and broke into smaller pieces from the pressure of being opened in thousands of years , creating a loud bang that echoed through the whole castle and down to the village, causing a flock of crows to fly from a nearby tree

Kugisaki and itadori gulped as they looked forward seeing nothing but rotting wood and eerie darkness, fushiguro had furrowed brows while gojo had a large smile, unfazed in the slightest.

They slowly walked inside, itadori clinging to fushiguros side, gojo walking Infront and kugisaki a little to the side.

"This place reeks- it's so disgu-"

CRUNCH

She stayed completely still as the other three males looked over at her while she slowly looked down, the others following her gaze only to see she had stepped on a dirty white bone, it had broken in half from her step causing her to make a face and scream a little, quickly backing away before feeling something against her calf, quickly turning and seeing a skull with empty eye sockets staring back at her making her scream louder and run towards itadori and fushiguros, hiding behind them with a trembling figure, itadori having a shaking body too as fushiguro had wide eyes, gojo seemingly amused but interested to say the least
