IT WAS THE DAY...

It was the day of the Ceremony. The day to send off his Soul. It was the day we came to Peace.

And it was the day, I had to do what I never thought I had to do - say goodbye.

I stared at the mirror and the reflection of a girl stared back at me.

Really?

Was that really me?

There was nothing in the girl, in the reflection, that resembled the Weslyn Grayson who had came to Gray Valley 3 months ago to put together her broken memories.

Nothing.

I let out a breath and looked back at my reflection.

I had changed.

I had changed from 3 months ago.

And it was not only on the outside; I had changed on the inside.

I had loved and I had lost.

And that had changed me.

A movement in the mirror caught my eye and distracted me from my own thoughts.

"Weslyn."

Blayze.

He had come back from the Mountains.

"I heard that the Ceremony is... Today."

There was silence.

I was too afraid to speak.

If I did speak I was afraid I would change my decision to have the Ceremony.

But I had to.

I had to send off the man I loved, as it was what was best, for everyone.

For him. For me.

For Blayze.

And... For everyone in my life.

"Are you alright?"

"Y-yes," I managed. "I am alright, Blayze."

I turned to look at him.

The expression on his face concerned me.

Empty.

It was an empty expression that I was used to seeing on my own face.

"Are you alright?"

"I met... Melanie."

I froze.

Did he find out who she was? Did he find out who he was?

"You did?"

I was careful with my choice of words.

"I did."

I glanced up at him, again, just in time to see his face flash with pain.

"She told me... That she is my mother." I nodded. "And that... Liam is my... Brother."

I took a breath and nodded in response.

"And she told me that... I am not alone... Because I have family. She is me family. And Liam was my family." He paused. "But we never did get along. Did we... Weslyn?"

The pain was evident in his voice.

"Blayze... Please. It's in the past."

"The hostility between Liam and I was because of me... I was responsible for that."
