"Wake up ..."

Anne says to me after sleeping for six hours , for how long are you going to sleep Kate ,?

You are the only one who isn't ready yet !! She hisses bitterly and took off the covers off from me making me whine ,

Bring that back !! I yelled ,

No ..stand up and go take a bath, you are acting as if you have some imbalanced hormones ,

She scoffs ..

My eyes flew open ,and you are acting like a meany sister Anne ,for once I want to sleep .. I cried with frustration .

Mom doesn't want to hear that, she is talking non stop downstairs...

Ah !! Mom.. I whinned and put my head on the pillow with a sigh ,

Are you going or should I bath you on the bed myself, ? She asks ..

No I will do it, I tell her after a glare that she didn't miss out ,

Great .. now go , She shooed me like a pig .

I took a bath after two days of sleeping and roaming around around with my PJs ,

Mom has already complained and I didn't listen and now Anne came , I had to listen becuase this is important and I can't just embarrass my family becuase of my stupid reasons ,

After scrubbing and conditioning my hair, I took a hot-warm bath that made me lift up my mood and soon I was out putting on a little blue dress and black heels , Anne did my make up and I looked presentive ,

We walked out of the room hand in hand , as she didn't want to leave me behind .

This woman doesn't trust me , but I don't blame her I would have slept like how my brain says .

Let's go , mom says tiredly not sparing me a glance ,

Okay .. we all followed like lost puppies ,

Anne pinched me on my arm which made me frown and returned the same act to her ,

Why would she do that , ?

Stop .. she hissed whispered ... Can't you see .. she is already angry I did that to make you realise you shouldn't act reckless around her ,

She pointed at mother and oh boy is she angry , her Face looked like she has swallows a whole toad on her mouth , and it tasted sour .

Holding my laughter, we entered in the car and I asked of where Leonardo is to Anne ,

He is already there .. like I said , you made mama late ..
Anne says accusingly ,

Okay stop you have said enough , she is here now .. Mom barked out of nowhere ,

We drove to a place that Wasn't far from home , it was beautifully designed ..

I rememberd it's the office party that she has been talking about ,

It's the 61st anniversary of their firm. It is really important to her , I will remember to say sorry later .

There were press outside , as usual we passed through them like nothing is distracting us ofcourse ,

We entered inside and every one turned after an eerie silence , they came and talked , greeted mother whilst I and my sister found some places to sit .

The music played , some couples danced .. some were drinking and making some stories . I could see alot of elites people ..

Both men and women, congratulating mother and beside her is Leonardo who was with her talking to them about everything ,

I look at Anne who was busy drinking, Aren't you going to join them both, ?

Nop , she answered ,

Why, ? You work with mom and leo Anne , you should go with them .

Don't worry dear , I don't like socialising , let them do all the job , I want a peace of mind ,

Work is handful , I don't want anything to do with this but to have a little fun and listen to some beats,

I completely understood her as I watch her drinking ,taking one glass at a time .

Are you okay Anne,? I ask after observing her

Yes I am , I am just tired ... She replied and take a sip of her drink again,

And oh, I wanted to tell you that I will be going back to my place soon,

Why , ? A frown appeared on my face ,

Becuase I can Kate , and I have to leave ... I was at home because of you , you are alright now that means it's my que to leave .

I didn't want to push her , i decided to let her be .

Looking here and there , I saw a familiar face of my ex husband, he had a woman by his side walking together .

That asshole .. I gritted my teeth and shaked the achy feeling that was within me .

Who invited him here ,? He has the nerve of even showing his face in this party !!

Shameless !!

I acted like I didn't see him , and sipped on my wine.

Not so long, the host started speaking and then introduced my mother on the stage to talk a few words ,

I felt really proud of her as I sat looking at her from a far, she has always been a hard worker .

Good evening ladies and gent, welcome to the 61st anniversary of our Company today ...

We are honoured to receive all the guests here ,I take this opportunity to welcome all our guests and making our party happen .

And so on ,

People clapped and then she walked down to meet more people around ,

I am proud of that woman .. I heard Anne say . Yep I am too, I replied with a small smile .

"I have to go .. " she suddenly says and took her phone with her leaving me alone on the bar .

Hello there sister ... I heard Leonardo calling me ,

Leo ..I didn't see you since --

The day before yesterday . He asks making me smile .

Yea..I felt really down and I wanted to be alone and sleep for the day .

Okay.. okay .. stop! are you enjoying the party , ? He asks making me nod ,

Yea .. it's nice and Everything about it is okay . He asked for a drink and we carried on talking .

Leo .. a woman who I didn't know came to where we were ,she looked flirty wearing a little yellow dress with nine inch heels ,

She looked pretty ,though she had her  face caked  with make up .

Oh can i steal you for a few minutes. , ? She didn't even let him reply as she drag him along .

I chuckled seeing the reaction of Leonardo , he was a little furious and distasteful but followed her ,

I can imagine how he is feeling at the moment .. I looked around and saw every one busy ,

I should be busy too, but not this night . I don't feel like talking to anyone .

I have a lot in my shoes and talking is the last thing that I have in my mind.

Kate ... a familiar voice snapped me out of my trance.
