Chapter 25 : Unanticipated

Over the last couple of days Jisoo had started accepting Taehyung a little by little due to the fake act of empathy he'd been playing lately. Call it pity or whatever but now she found herself being fascinated by his actions as Taehyung was not threatening her anymore and was also acting compassionate towards her. He toured her the manor and they would often go to the uppermost balcony, spending their time stargazing together.

Taehyung did everything to show her that he was trying to change but in reality was he?

He was too remorseless to feel anything but couldn't deny the fact that the time he spent with her he felt jovial. Maybe it was not impossible to bring about a change in him but he was too devious to let his guard down.

His gestures by which Jisoo once felt disgusted, now she's more than willing to feel them. She felt butterflies in her stomach whenever he whispered something in her ear in his raspy voice, held her hands and caress the top of it by his thumb and kiss her temple.

But some of his actions really creeped her out like he wouldn't stop staring at her for a really long time and when she asked him about it she would receive a deadly glare from him in return. Very often he would just admire the 'v' sign which he had crafted on her collar bones, by touching it with his fingertips. After admiring he would always smile sadistically as if he had marked her his.

Taehyung was strict about her confinement in the locked room but now she was free to roam in the manor despite entering the restricted rooms because now she knew there was no escape from him. Trying will only result in getting lost as the area was surrounded by thick cover of dense and humongous trees. Even if she managed to escape she knew he would hunt her down.

How ironical the day was because Jisoo who once wanted to escape from him was now searching for him in the manor. It was strange of him because he would never leave her alone commonly. After many attempts of looking for him she finally found him at the uppermost balcony leaning on the railing, humming a melody unknown to her.

She just stood there listening to his husky, deep throaty voice. She can notice the longingness in his eyes as he looked at the stars and thought how would things be if he just approached her like a normal person.

She went towards him slowly and stood right beside him. She flashed him a warm smile but he just maintained his usual poker face.

"What brings you here?" he asked her raising his one eyebrow.

She turned towards him and spoke,

"You didn't come for a long time--" Taehyung cut her off by trapping her petite figure between his buff arms against the railing as she released a gasp.

"So you missed me? Huh?" he asked with his still stoic face.

Jisoo couldn't find the words to say so remained quiet. Silence consumed them as Taehyung twirled the brunette's hair with a stern gaze upon her face. Jisoo too couldn't help but stare at his sublimable face and get lost in those captivating dark brown orbs. The mole on his lower lip enticing her to lay hers upon.

So she again did the most unexpected thing any person would do to her captor. Inspite of their close proximity she slowly tip-toed on her feet and connected their lips very lightly. Taehyung was startled at first but on realising her unanticipated move he kissed back much more vigorously not letting go even if she wanted.

Somehow Jisoo managed to pull out gasping for air hungrily. Meeting his fierce gaze she couldn't stop herself from blushing and looked down to avoid his eyes. Observing her Taehyung couldn't resist himself from kissing her again. He wanted to taste those plump heart shaped lips of hers forever. So he held her cheek with one hand and hip with another pulling her again into a deep kiss. Jisoo too kissed back slowly cause never in her life she will be able to compete his rapid pace.

He was kissing her so intensely that she had to hold his shoulders for support to stand properly. Biting her lip he explored the sweet cavern ravishly. After what felt like eternity she pushed him due to lack of oxygen in her lungs, her hands on his chest, lips swollen due to his intense kissing. She looked him in the eyes and spoke with a soft voice,

"I accept you from the bottom of my heart" and pecked his lips.

Taehyung on hearing her words gave a genuine smile rather than those sadistic smiles he used to always and licked her lips only to be kissed again.

While kissing he smirked inwardly knowing he'd been successfull in persuading her. It's not that he didn't felt anything for her but can't guarantee that he will change and won't commit any other crime in future.

Jisoo had lost her sanity like the person with Stockholm Syndrome does. It maybe a coping mechanism to help her process and accept her situation in the period she was held captive and it was true though as there was no escape and the only human interaction she had was with Taehyung. So as the time passed she developed positive feelings towards her captor.

Do you know Psychopaths often use superficial charm and manipulation to get other people to do what they want and in this case you can accurately say that Taehyung was able to manipulate her behaviour by deceiving her.

I'm not good at writing fluff, but I think I should take my words back. The previous chapter and this one too was a combination of both light and dark aspects of the story if you see.
