"Oh, Hell, no. Not this one!"The second Taylor and I walked into the bar, we were met by hollers and catcalls from a few of the regulars who recognized us.
Shane, one of the bartenders, began chuckling and shaking his head as we approached the bar.
"Now this is something I never thought I'd see again."
"Oh, please. I saw your ass last week, remember?"
I looked over, catching Taylor sticking her tongue playfully as we took two spots at the bar.
"Yeah, but not with Jay. What's up, man?"
Shan finally took his eyes off Taylor and nodded at me. After setting the glass he was cleaning down, he reached across the bar top and I did the same, knocking our fists together.
"Hey, Shane. How's it going?"
He smiled a little, stepping back to continue working as he shrugged.
"Livin' the dream. Usual?"
He nodded over at Taylor and she nodded back, earning a wide grin from Shane.
"Coming right up, Princess."
It kinda surprised me that she was still a regular, but as I looked around at the pictures on the walls, noticing her in quite a few, I figured we must've gone on different nights.
I stopped on an older picture of the two of us and smiled, remembering the times we'd sneak into the bar using fake IDs.
She followed my line of sight and a sad smile made its way onto her face before she stood from her seat.
"B.R.B."
I nodded and turned my head, watching as she walked away.
As she headed towards the bar corner where the restrooms were, she greeted a few people along the way.
She stopped to say something to Kiana and Della before heading for the ladies' room.
Everyone's eyes were on her as she strutted to the restroom, and who could blame them?
Taylor was and always will be the most gorgeous creature walking this planet
"So, how long has it been, man?"
I looked back over the bar, watching as Shane set Taylor's drink down.
"Me and Tay? Shit, dude, like..."
I sat back a little in my seat, thinking back to mine and Taylor's last moments together as a couple.
"...Years."
"And you're getting married to someone else tomorrow?"
Shane lifted his eyebrows in astonishment before pulling out a tumbler glass, pouring out a decent amount of whiskey before setting it down in front of me.
