I was standing in the middle of the kitchen, wine glass in hand, thinking over what had happened within the last few hours.
I was completely zoned out and it took a second for Jared's words to register in my brain.
"What the hell is this shit, Taylor? Are you still fucking that bartender? Why is there a picture of that piece of shit in my daughter's room?!"
My eyebrows fuzed together in confusion and I reached for the picture.
It was from the state fair last year; Keegan had an arm wrapped around my waist while McKenna sat on his shoulders, grinning wildly for the camera.
After taking a look at it, I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Jared, you're getting married... tomorrow. Okay, you have no right to be pissed or even try to question me at this point!"
"Tay, I--"
"No, Jay! You shouldn't even be here! Go home!"
Jared rolled his eyes and groaned in frustration before looking up at me, a fire blazing in his green eyes.
"I. Am. Home. I swear to God, Taylor... you better tell me. Are you still fucking that guy?!"
Excuse me... what the fuck?! ✖️

"Ughh, I hate these weekends. Is it selfish that I always want her around?"
Keegan smiled before glancing back to look at McKenna in her car seat. When he looked back at me he shook his head.
"Definitely not. She's pretty awesome."
My eyes darted up to the rearview mirror and a warm smile appeared on my face as I saw McKenna making funny faces along with Keegan.
We had been dating for almost three months and I really liked him; after introducing him to McKenna a few weeks ago, Keegan had been doing little things here and there to let me know this wasn't just some fling.
We were dropping McKenna off at Jared's parent's house and as I struggled with her diaper bag and overnight bag, Keegan hopped out of the passenger seat, ready to help me with McKenna.
"I got her, babe."
"Thanks."
I huffed thankfully, adjusting the strap on one of her bags; I was so distracted I barely had time to react when Jared came storming out of the house, his green eyes fixed on Keegan.
"Hey!"
Jared's shoes crunched under the gravel walkway and after running around to the other side of the car, I was able to step between the two men, who were glaring at each other.
"Jay, calm down, okay?! Relax."
He rolled his eyes and grunted, clenching his jaw, his focus never straying from Keegan.
"I was trying to get her bags. Keegan was just helping."
Jared chuckled sarcastically before grabbing McKenna from Keegan's arms.
"Oh, I'm sure he's helped enough."
Keegan, not wanting the situation to escalate, threw his hands up in defense before backing away, getting back into the car.
I looked at Jared with an annoyed and agitated look on my face, trying to keep my calm because of the angel still in his arms.
"Why do you do this, Jay? Why did you have to start?"
He looked over my shoulder at the passenger in my car before looking back down at me, frustration etched all over her face.
"Why do you have to let him finish what I started?"
