Addison walked quietly through the ICU as she made her way to Zed's room. After walking the same path for the last six months, it had begun to feel sickeningly normal.

Addison pushed open the door to Zed's room and slipped inside, shutting it behind her with a soft click. She immediately made her way to Zed's side, sitting in the chair beside his bed before rummaging through her purse.

Addison pulled out her latest sonogram, holding it up to show Zed even though she knew he couldn't see it.

"I got to see the baby again today." Addison told him quietly. "She's getting so big Zed. I can't wait until you can see her too. It's hard to believe how fast the time has gone."

Addison turned and placed the sonogram on top of a small pile of sonograms that accumulated on Zed's windowsill. It had become a habit for her to visit Zed after her sonograms. Even if he couldn't be with her, talking to him about it made Addison feel like she was still including him.

Beside her pile was another pile of sonograms that belonged to Bree. She and Bonzo had started leaving them for Zed as well, stating that it gave them something to talk about during their own visits.

Addison wiped the tears from her eyes before giving Zed's hand a gentle squeeze. "So...uh...I don't know if you heard, but Bucky took Ziva to meet his parents."

Addison sniffled, rubbing circles on the back of Zed's hand with her thumb. "It didn't go so well. Bucky's parents practically shamed him in front of Ziva, then he snapped and told them off. So now Bucky has bought a place of his own and permanently moved out of his parent's place."

Addison sighed. "I know it's for the best, but I also know how badly Bucky wanted Aunt Colleen and Uncle John to be proud of him. Now, he's not even going to invite them to the wedding. I guess that's his choice to make though, huh?"

Addison reached into her purse again, pulling out a pair of small, pink, crocheted booties, sitting them on the edge of the bed.

"Bonzo's grandma, Ms. Inza, made these booties for our baby." Addison smiled. "I think they're adorable."

She ran her fingers over the soft, crocheted material. "You know, I've been thinking about baby names. What do you think about Zara or Ezmae or Aleza or Kenzie? I've been trying to find names that sound zombie while also being cute." (A/N Vote for your favorite name in the comments. I can't decide and want your feedback.)

"Speaking of names," Addison smiled. "Bree and Bonzo have already chosen a name for their son. I'm the only one who knows. We decided to announce the names at the baby shower next week. Bree and I figured since our due dates are only a month apart that it would be fun to have one big baby shower."

Addison slipped the booties back into her purse. "I don't think Bree and Bonzo will mind if I tell you the name they chose. It can be our secret now. They're going to name their son Brayden Enzo De Comp. Brayden was a name they both really liked and they chose Enzo in memory of Bonzo's father, his grandmother's only son and child. They're really excited."

The small smile on Addison's face slowly fell as the deafing silence in the room began to weigh her down. The steady beeping of machines told her Zed was alive, but it did little to ease the pain of feeling so helpless and alone.

🎶Loving and fighting, accusing, denying
I can't imagine a world with you gone
The joy and the chaos, the demons we're made of
I'd be so lost if you left me alone🎶

The words fell softly from her lips, filling the silence in the room. As she sang, Addison thought about her first year of high school and how everything had changed when the Zombies joined their school. She thought about meeting Zed for the first time in the Zombie safe room, how Bucky and the Aceys had dragged her away from him several times over the school year, their almost kiss at the Zombie Mash, the Zombie Patrol taking Zed, Eliza, and Bonzo away at the football game, how she had removed her wig and given up hiding, and how they had come together to save the cheer team during the championship, even if they didn't win.

🎶Heard your voice outside the classroom
Got pulled away, couldn't break through
All I want is to feel your heart beat
Can you hear me screaming? Please don't leave me🎶

Tears formed in Addison's eyes as she continued to sing. She thought about Dr. Patey, and how he had disabled all the Z-bands. She remembered the sound of Zed's scared, gravelly voice as he called out for her and how she had desperately tried to get to him before being pulled into a Zombie Safe room against her will.

🎶Hold on, I still want you
Come back, I still need you
Let me take your hand, I'll make it right
I swear to love you all my life
Hold on, I still need you

Long endless highway, you're silent beside me
Driving a nightmare I can't escape from
Helplessly praying, the light isn't fading
Hiding the shock and the chill in my bones🎶

Addison looked down at her wedding band, running her thumb across it. She thought about the promise ring that was safely tucked away in her jewelry box at home. Addison remembered how awkward it had been to sit beside Zed after their fight about the video of her and Wyatt. Despite their fight, it had taken all her willpower not to grab his hand or lean on his shoulder during the ride. She had been so happy when Zed brought out that ring and explained his feelings to her.

🎶They took you away on a table
I pace back and forth as you lay still
They pull you in to feel your heartbeat
Can you hear me screaming? Please don't leave me🎶

Addison looked up at Zed's monitor. The day his heart stopped, her heart had stopped as well. The thought of losing him had been too much to bare. She remembered how desperately Bree was trying to calm her down and how Wyatt had raced to the hospital to be with her during that time. Addison had never been more grateful to have her brother and best friend so close by.

🎶Hold on, I still want you
Come back, I still need you
Let me take your hand, I'll make it right
I swear to love you all my life
Hold on, I still need you

I don't wanna let go
I know I'm not that strong
I just wanna hear you
Saying, "Baby, let's go home"
Let's go home
Yeah, I just wanna take you home

Hold on, I still want you
Come back, I still need you🎶

Her voice faded out as the grip on her hand tightened. Addison's gaze shot up and for the first time in six months, blue eyes met brown.

The tears that had been pooling in her eyes slipped down her cheeks as a smile spread on her face.

"Zed."
