"Breeska!" Bonzo yelped, steadying her as she groaned in pain.

Bree rubbed her swollen belly, her eyes squeezed shut as the pain passed. "That one hurt."

"Zar garzabe gehook? (Is the baby coming?)" Bonzo asked.

Bree nodded, regaining her composure. "I've been having pains all morning. I thought it was false labor, but that felt very real."

"Agz jag gretru azu darza. (We should get you to a doctor.)" Bonzo suggested.

Bree squeezed his hand as another pain went through her abdomen. "Okay. Labor and delivery is two floors below us."

Bonzo nodded, guiding her towards the door. "Agrapzo. (Let's go.)"

"We're coming too." Eliza replied, taking Wyatt's hand. "I don't want to miss this."

"Agreed." Wyatt nodded.

Zed looked around at his friends. "You should all go. I'm fine, and this is a moment none of you should miss."

"Are you sure?" Wynter asked. "You still look sad."

Zed put on a smile. "I'm fine, really. Go support Bree and Bonzo."

The group all nodded in agreement, filing out of the room as they followed the young couple out. The arrival of the first baby in their group was an exciting moment.

Zed laid back against his pillow with a sigh as he listened to the door close with a soft click. He couldn't lie, he had enjoyed having his sister and friends around to keep him company, but he didn't want to be the reason they missed such an important moment.

Zed reached over and grabbed his dad's cellphone from his bedside table. He unlocked it and scrolled through the contacts until his thumb hovered over Addison's name. She would still be here at the hospital if he hadn't upset her.

Zed sighed and started to turn off the phone. Surely the others had called Addison by now? Right? She was Bree's best friend, they would make sure she was there. Wouldn't they?

Zed shook his head, hovering his thumb over her contact once more. It wouldn't hurt to call her just to be sure she knew what was going on, right? It never hurt to check.

Zed tapped Addison's contact and pressed the phone to his ear, taking a deep breath as he listened to the phone ring. Once, twice, then it connected.

"Hey Mr. Z."

Addison's voice echoed in his ear as Zed nervously cleared his throat. "Actually, it's Zed. Dad left me his phone so I could make calls if I wanted to."

There was a moment of silence then Addison spoke. "Oh."

"Addison, I'm so sorry." Zed blurted out. "I was overwhelmed and crushed by the doctor's assessment and instead of leaning on you for support, I took my emotions out on you. I know it was wrong and you have every reason to be mad at me. I promise we will talk, but right now you need to come to the hospital. Bree is in labor. I know she would want you here."

"I'm on my way." Addison replied before the line went dead.

Zed groaned as he leaned back against his pillow. She hadn't even acknowledged his apology. She must really be mad at him.

Zed stared at his hospital room door. He wasn't going to be able to fix things with Addison if he was stuck in here. He needed to get to his friends so he could see Addison and ask her to talk with him face to face.

Zed looked around for the remote to page the nurse. He finally spotted it on the window sill, out of reach from his bed.

Zed cursed under his breath. The doctor must have moved it when he was examining him. Now how was he going to get to Addison? It's not like he could walk.
