"Good morning, sleepy head." You heard his voice chuckle besides you.

You opened your eyes to be met with his.

"Good morning." You sighed, huddling closer for more warmth.

"You just can't get enough of me, eh?" Childe smiled down at you, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay. Just a little weak, that's all." You closed your eyes once more.

Growl~

"My my, is my Princess hungry?"

You grit your teeth. Curse your stomach for ruining this perfect moment.

"A little." You squeaked into his chest.

He placed a gloved hand under your chin, forcing your gaze to him, "How about we do some hunting? Maybe find some eggs for breakfast?" He raised an eyebrow.

You hummed in response. You tried to sit yourself up, but was greeted by the throbbing of your wound.

"Ouch." You hissed, clutching onto your shoulder.

Childe gently grabbed your hand from your shoulder lowering it to your side, "Let me have a look, please." He said with pleading eyes.

You crossed your arms, "I refuse."

He deadpanned, "Don't this to me, Princess. Or else I will have to storm you by force!" He leaned towards you.

You couldn't resist that. You turned your flustered face to the side, refusing to make eye contact.

"I refuse."

"Ohoho~" A low giggle erupted from his chest, "Well then, I'll just do it my way then." He said as he snaked an arm around your waist, the other pushing you to the ground.

He immediately unbuttoned the jacket you had on and observed your wound.

"Childe."

"Doctor Ajax to you, little lady." He chuckled as he changed your dressing.

You rolled your eyes. How much cuter could he get?

"Alright. Done." He proudly exclaimed, "I'm so brilliant."

"Yes you are." You agreed, "Now then, let's go get us some food then, shall we?"

Childe nodded before scooping you up bridal style. He marched his way from the cave, checking to see if the coast was clear. He then began marching through the snow into the forest that neighbored nearby. He stopped in front of a dead tree.
You looked up and pointed to the nest above, "Ajax, look! Maybe there are bird eggs in there!" You exclaimed, proud of your discovery.

"Ahhh, good find." He placed you on top of his shoulders, "Can you reach it?"

You extended your arms so you could grab the nest. You brought it close to your chest, gazing for any eggs.

"There are three!" You smiled.

"Nice work, (n/n)" he praised, keeping you on his shoulders.

You could see so much from his height. The sky was a dreary grey, which was normal for Snezhnaya. The birds that flew in the sky, singing their joyous songs. The trees surrounding you, you could see it all.
You marveled at the beauty of your homeland.
You didn't notice that Childe began back in the direction of the cave. All you could notice was the crunching of snow beneath his feet.

"I'm going to get us some place safe. Away from it all." He sighed, gazing ahead, "No one will be able to hurt us ever again." He promised.

You blushed at his promise. He sounded so confident.
