First stage: Egg has yet to be laid, fetus has not yet starteddevelopmentbut is fertile. Nutrients sack is full size

Second stage: Egg has been laid, shell has not yet developed and Egg is very soft and dense. These are kept in small pouch are satchels kept around either parents waists and are wrapped in kelp and seaweed to be kept safe.

Third Stage: Egg is still soft but firmer, tail color has started to appear but scaled have not yet formed.
