Time passes and eventually, the visit to Cloud Recess came into play, a loud and whining voice was heard "nooooo I don't wanna get up" 

"You- get up! today is the day we were supposed to go to Cloud Recess remember? if you don't wake up then we will be late." an equally annoyed and angry voice replied.

"Shijieeee Jiang Cheng is bullying me again!" the said woman just simply laughed behind her sleeve and gently told Wei Wuxian to get up which he immediately did.

Many in the room were warmed at the display while others simply respected her for being able to calm and tell the Yilling Patriarch and Sandu Shengshou, while Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli felt sorrow reminiscing in these innocent and joyful moments when they were all still a trio, a family.

The scene now switched to the trio along with other disciples standing in front of Cloud Recess as Lan Wangji made his grand entrance as the disciples just looked with admiration. The whole invitation incident happened which including a furious Jiang Cheng an apologetic Jiang Yanli and an annoyed Lan Wangji and a sheepish Wei Wuxian.

It was nighttime when Wei Wuxian returned and everyone was gone, so being the genius (idiot) he is he climbed the wall with two jars of emperors smile, just as he was about to drink it he saw a (handsome) young man in white robes and a forehead ribbon staring at him with his golden eyes.

"hey! how about this, if I give you a jar you can pretend you didn't see me hmm?" Wei Wuxian said with a beautiful smile gracing his youthful face but the cold voice just replied "Alcohol is prohibited in Cloud Recess."

"awhh come on is there anything that isn't prohibited in this place," a whining voice asked, 

"go check the wall yourself." the same cold voice said back

Suddenly a burst of cheerful laughter was heard as the male clad in black and red robes lifted the jar of wine to his lips and drank to his heart's content. The moonlight reflected his long ebony hair that flowed in the wind, his pale fair skin, his red lips, and the wine that was running down his chin and neck. 

He looked truly ethereal at that moment when suddenly a sword was pointed at him, he saw the young master's furious expression and laughed as he dodged more attacks, and so they danced through the night on the roof with Wei Wuxian's cheerful laughter ringing out. 

That was until an attack caused Wei Wuxian to lose grip on his wine and it went crashing down, immediately a pout overcame his feature as he watched his beloved wine shatter "Lan Zhan! you better pay for my wine" 

The Jiangs and Lan's simply just sighed fondly at his behavior, he really hadn't changed, had he? Jin Zixuan, Jiang Cheng, Jin Ling, and Lan Jingyi just snorted as if this was nothing new, Lan Sizhui saw how cheerful and carefree the man was and couldn't help but think "did he really do all of those crimes?"  Ouyang Zizhen got excited because this is where the famous love story of Hanguang-Jun and the Yilling Patriarch began

Jin Guangyao and Xue Yang laughed a bit on the inside at the behavior of the 'fearsome Yilling Pariarch' who was currently being punished along with second young master Lan who he dragged down the wall with him.
