Author's POV

Things had been going pretty well for our "not-so-protagonist" squad. The new year and birthday celebration and new year celebration had gone splendidly. Wei Wuxian, Shang Qinghua, and Fayre Yang managed to create chaos once again and give everyone a heart attack, well, almost everyone.

Pei Ming was honestly just laughing his ass off during the ordeal, and He Xuan was as unbothered as always. But other than that all were in high spirits after spending time with each other and finally getting a much-needed break.

Things were going surprisingly well for the group considering their rotten luck, of course, no one was surprised when suddenly things went horribly wrong which lands us in this situation.

A few weeks prior (in SpongeBob narrator voice)

"So the 6 of them are currently gathered in the heavens eh?"

"...yes master."

"Well I suppose after not contacting them for a long time, I owe them a gift. Don't you agree A-Shan?"

"..yes, master."

A sinister voice laughed as his servant watched from the sidelines no emotions betraying his face.

Now (SpongeBob narrator voice)

Wei Wuxian stood frozen as his siblings formed a protective shield in front of him, there in front of them was his nightmare, the same people who tormented him and tortured him, the same people he could bring himself to hate, the same people he had sworn to protect.

"Wei Ying..."

Let's go back to a couple of hours prior.

Before Fayre Yang and Wei Wuxian set off to their new destination which was Korea, the group wanted to spend some time together to just relax because no one knows how long their trip to Korea will last. 

So they all headed to Yilling to visit Wen Qing and Wen Ning, when they arrived the town was lit up like a celebration was occurring, the townspeople immediately all surrounded the group, especially Wei Wuxian, and fondled them with gifts and love.

A peal of bright laughter was heard as Wei Wuxian graciously accepted the affection and care, he knew better than to refuse the gifts after the townsfolk doubled the gifts on him and refuse to let him go until he accepted when he made the mistake of denying them last time.

A lighthearted atmosphere took over the group as they all laughed and enjoyed their time, just as they did in their younger days before the tragedies occurred.

Shen Jiu, Shen Yuan, and Xie Lian were shopping around the market for anything interesting and also entertaining the little kids who came up to them for stories. Meanwhile, Wei Wuxian and Shang Qinghua attacked the food and wine stalls, Wei Wuxian flirted with every other person he saw and played with kids he came across. Shang Qinghua laughed as he saw Wei Wuxian's cheeks get pulled for the 150th time that evening by some aunties and uncles.

Wen Qing and Wen Ning were chatting with Fayre Yang not far behind. Later the 8 of them met up at the Yuhan Pavillion (if you recognize the name then plz marry me<3) for some dinner because somehow Wei Wuxian and Shang Qinghua have bottomless stomachs.
