"I'm seriously missing school to promote a pet store?" I question Stacy while she's pointing a camera and shining a bright light in my face
I was just about to head out the door when Stacy called me telling me to come into 'pets forever' because their other model got sick and I was second option
"Okay Harry hold this puppy and smile"
Stacy hands me this adorable golden retriever puppy and goes behind the camera. The pup looks up at me and those eyes melted me right then and there.
After a few shots of me holding the puppy I ask Stacy if the puppy is for sale. She tells me it is and it's the last one of the litter. That sold it for me. It hasn't even been a year but there was no way I wasn't adopting this dog.
I get a text from Mikey so I pop the puppy down into the pen and pick up my phone
Mikey: Wanna join me in the school basketball stadium, I'm bored and lonely 🥺🥺
Me: yeah just finishing this shoot then I'll head over, I'll be about 20
I pick the puppy up from the pen and walk around the shop for a lead. I choose this lead that had silver studs on it and and a collar that matched.
After I paid for the dog I popped it in my lap and drove over to school.
My schools never had a problem with students bringing small dogs since most of the girls had those crusty white dogs or toy poodles that were able to fit in their bags.
I walk my dog through the school earning a lot of 'aww's from passing students.
"So cute Harry" someone said as I walk pass them.
I run into hunter leaving one of his classes and I pick up the dog to show him.
"Who's this Harry?" He asks. Blake next to him patting the pup
"No clue, haven't named him yet"
"You should name him Blake after Blake, me" Blake says
"Blake?" I say to the dog, the dog didn't seem to respond. Okay definitely not a Blake
"Certainly looks like a Blake" Blake says patting the dog
"Where you off to? We were gonna grab some food before our next class" Hunter says
"I told Mikey I'd meet him at the basketball hall" I say still watching Blake pat the puppy
Both Blake and Hunter share a amused glance with eachother
"Sooo... you and Mikey hey? Gotten over the whole Cole and Nick situation?"
Blake teases
"Fuck off , and no mike and are just friends" I tell them both
"I'll believe it when I see it" Hunter says and with that they were off
I walk into the basketball hall, there wasn't anyone there except Mikey bouncing the ball and shooting hoops.
Mikey turns around and I watched as his face immediately lit up when we saw the dog in my hands. I let the dog down and un did his head and the puppy practically sprinted up to Mikey. Mikey picked it up and gave it a huge hug. It started licking his face but he just stayed there with the dog in his arms laughing
"What's its name?" Mikey asks when I walk over to them
"Umm no clue?"
"Okay well, when I'm done here it'll be lunch time and we can think of names!" He exclaimed
I took the dog off Mikey and sit on the bottom of the bleaches. I watch as Mikey slam dunks the ball and breaks the whole hoop off. I took out my phone to snap a picture of him laughing and walking back with the broken hoop

After a long debate in the courtyards we decided to name the dog 'Rocky'. It was Mikey's idea.
Neither Mikey or I had any classes for the rest of the day so we decided to go to mine and show Jace the dog.
The second I opened the front door I heard it.
"Oh JJ yes ! Yes! Yes"
"What the fuck" Mikey laughs
"My brother is a whore and his girlfriend is loud" I say deadpanned
I swear I pick the worst times to bring friends over.
"Jace I have a guest shut up" I yell
Rocky whimpers in my hands. I totally forgot I was holding him
"Aww I'm sorry poor guy" I say to the dog
Mikey and I walked to the kitchen and Mikey put down the dog toys I made him hold. I let Rocky go run around while I opened some letters
'Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday' a lot of happy birthday cards there for me
"What's this one?" Mikey asks holding up a letter that was from UFC
"I dunno"
I opened the letter and it said I was accepted. Perfect
"Awww who's adorable puppy is this?" Jess walks into the room wearing Jace's oversized top holding Rocky.
"Harry bought a dog!" Mikey says
"I'm Mikey" he introduces himself to Jess
"Oh Mikey your here huh" a bare chested Jace walks into the room. Hickeys were all over his torso and when he's back was towards us , there was mountains of scratches on his back.
"Hi Jace" Mikey says
Ugh sometimes I hate how chirpy Mikey can be
"So you finally caved and bought a dog?" Jace asks
"Yeah, he was the last one and I couldn't let him go" I said
Jace asked Mikey if he wanted to stay for dinner and Mikey said he would. We decided on pizza and Jace and Jess left to go pick it up since delivery was going to take too long.
Mikey and I went and sat on the lounge. I watched as Mikey would attempt to teach Rocky tricks though Rocky was too young for that.

After Mikey left mine I get a message from Cole.
"Can we talk?" It read
"Yeah sure" I say
Cole asked me to come over to his and I did so. I forced Jace to babysit Rocky for me. But the look of his face told me he didn't know what the fuck to do. Luckily there was Jess. She'd look after both my boys.
Cole opened the door to his house, he had a look of guilt in his eye. I'm assuming he's done something dumb.
Once we were sat down in his living room I asked why it was so quiet. Turns out he didn't know when his dad would get back.
Cole apologies to me about the whole Diego soft toy incident. He also goes on to apologise for everything he's done to me. He even starts crying telling me how much of a shit person he is. I tell him that's false and he eventually calms down.
Cole opened up about his family life , about how his dad isn't around and his mum used to mentally abuse him. I feel really bad for him after this.
"So" he starts when he's pulled himself back together
"Can I take you on a proper date?" He asks
"Sure Cole" I warmly say and he pulls me in for a hug.
That's it I think, Coles done hiding secrets and he's fully opened himself up. And maybe soon I'll begin to open up to him
