Nandini's POV

Manik hai kaha? No text no call. I huffed in anger. Abhi agar call kiya bhi toh I won't talk to him. I sent him a text and laid down on the bed. Lunch ke baad we all decided to rest but I was feeling restless. Manik aise gaya bina kuch kahe... And abhi bhi kuch baat nahi ki usne.

I kept my phone aside and closed my eyes. Soon enough I slept.

I woke up to my phone ringing. Without seeing I answered and said "Manik? Are you ok?? Hello"

To my dismay it was Navya on the phone "Nandu hum hai, darvaaza kholo. Kaam hai tumse"

I sighed and got up, as I opened the door she entered in with a lot of bags in her hand. Without giving me time to react she said "yeh kal ka tumhara lehenga aa gaya aur jewelry bhi ready hai. Thodi der mein parlour wali ane wali hai. Relaxing face spa and all ke liye and uske baad you shower come down, eat and vapas phir so hi jao. Kal 5 baje uthna hai so."

"Navya! Relax. Slow down. Aur betho." I said as she was ranting about it all.

"Nahi Nandu bohot kaam hai. Abhi tum bhi kuch der ke liye neeche aa jao, your uncle is reaching in 10mins." Saying this she literally ran out of the room. I guess kisi se bhi dhang se aaj baat hone wali nahi.

I freshened up and went downstairs. It was all so chaotic. People working everywhere. I saw Amma and Maasi talking in a corner since ghar mein sirf workers the.

"Maaaasssiiiiiii" It came out so loud she turned to my side and we both ran to each other. I hugged her as soon as I reached her.

"Aap aye kyun nahi?! Mujhe bura lag gaya hai ab. Itne late kon ata hai?" I fake huffed. She chuckled and said "Nautanki band kar, Abhi ne bataya nahi? Also so sorry yaar beta. Vaise maine suna hai, dulha hai bada handsome. Haha Nandu I'm so happy for you!" We broke the hug and I went and bowed down to take blessings from chacha ji.

"Arey beta, ladkiyan kabhi pair nahi padti. Gale milo" I hugged him and we all sat down chatting on the couch. Soon the parlour person came and I went up to my room.

2 hours of nice relaxation and now I will take a nice bath. My body feels amazing. No stress no strain. It was 6pm. And still nothing from Manik.

I was getting worried. He keeps updating me even when he is super busy. Ek message bhi nahi hai. I called him once, twice, thrice. Still no answer.

I couldn't take it anymore, I called maa. She answered within the first 3 rings.

Maa- hey Nandu!

N- hello Maa, umm voh .... Manik hai kya?

Maa- beta hum yaha naye ghar mein saaf safai aur tayari karne aye hai. Manik uss ghar mein hain shayad Vibha ke saath baato mein laga hai.

N- oh

Maa- bohot achhe friends hai kaafi time baad mile hai toh bethe honge baate karne. Kuch hua hai kya Nandu?

N- huh? Nahi maa voh subah se vo gaya toh kuch keh kar bhi nahi gaya aur phir full day bhi baat nahi hui hai so I got worried.

Maa- don't worry beta voh ghar pe hi hai ab. Vaha sab theek hai? Preparations done?

N- yes Maa! All done. Just waiting for tomorrow.
