M- rahi baat alag karne ki toh, Nandini Humara rishta itna bhi kamzor nahi hai ki koi hume alag kar de. Kal ke liye sach mein bohot sorry. And Nandini, ek baat samjho na tum. Voh meri friend hai. Bas friend. For fucks sake vo HUMARI shaadi attend kar rahi hai. I am sorry par uske saath baatein karne mein vakt kaha gaya mujhe pata bhi nahi chala. Can you please trust me?
N- You're right Manik. Okay I have to go now. Thank you for the flowers and the pastry.
M- arey ruko.
N- kya hai Manik?
M- Aur ek surprise hai! Apna wardrobe kholo samne hi hai.
She sighed, got up and went to open the wardrobe. As she opened it, her body froze. She turned around with tears.
M- arey why are you crying Jaan? Pasand nahi aya?
N- Manik! This lehenga... It's so pretty.. mere liye?
M- nahi Amma ke liye. Kya yaar tum bhi. Reception mein yahi pehenna please. I couldn't decide so I got 2. But then this one goes with my outfit so..
N- aur dusra?
M- voh tum yaha aaogi toh tab dunga.
N- thank you Mani!
M- Mani? So things are okay between us now??
N- yes Manik. Thik hai bas aaj ka din. And then you're all mine Mr. Malhotra.
M- Jaan. Know that humari engagement se hi main tumhara hu. Don't ever worry ke main tum se durr ho raha hu ya aisa kuch. And I'm sorry I unintentionally made you feel that way.
N- It's alright. I'll really go now. Tum bhi ready ho jao I'll be waiting for you.
M- yes I love you N----
I was interrupted by somebody literally barging in.
"Vibha?"
N- yeah I have to go. Bye.
She ended the call even before I could say anything.
V- so sorry Manik! Mujhe nahi pata tha. Voh aunty sent me to tell you come downstairs and eat.
M- I appreciate that. But please knock and wait for permission before entering. I'll be right there.
I sighed in frustration. I'm sure shaadi ke baad sab theek ho jayega. I quickly texted Nandini.
"I know tum answer nahi karogi. Please don't misunderstand it Nandu. You know I love you and only you. And I cannot wait to make you mine officially. See you seedha mandap mein"
I went downstairs. Mom and everyone else was busy doing things. I went towards maa and tapped on her shoulder to get her attention.
M- Good morning mom, aap ne bulaya?
Mom- Nahi Manik niche kyu aye? go shower and get ready. 8 baje baarat nikal ne wali hai.
