Nandini's POV
It all felt so surreal. Our knot tying ceremony was done and now we were asked to start the pheras. Manik looked me in the eyes and smiled his brightest. "Let's do this?" He asked raising his eyebrows. A twinkle in his eyes and oh that bright smile.
I happily nodded my head at him and the pheras began. All our family had gathered around us. Flower petals were being showered on us. Every step we took Manik gripped my hand tighter.
After the pheras, all were cheering and pandit ji announced the completion of our marriage. The only rasam left was the mangalsutra rasam.
Everybody hugged us one by one. We also posed for the photographer. Happiness was clearly radiating off of our faces. Manik and I looked at each other and then towards our family. Seeing them so happy was making us really happy.
We were made to sit and pandit ji started chanting a few mantras. Mom and Amma stood behind us holding sindoor and mangalsutra. Manik slid his arm around my waist. My eyes widened and I looked right at him, questioning him through my eyes.
He smirked at me and everybody laughed, I blushed and looked down.
"Var vadhu ke maang mein pehle sindoor bharega aur phir mangalsutra pehnayega" pandit ji said and Amma handed Manik Sindoor. He took a pinch of sindoor and looked me in the eyes.
I closed my eyes as I felt his fingers lift the maang tika and as soon as they touched my maang I took a deep breath in. This happened. Finally happened.
I couldn't stop smiling, Manik then took the Mangalsutra and put it around my neck. His fingers touched my neck and I felt an electric jolt run through my body. He came awfully close to face. My cheeks heated up and I froze in my place. After tying it securely he kissed me on the cheek and that was it for me.
"Manik!" My eyes widened as if they'll come popping out any second. Laughter was heard all around.
"Sharmao matt ab Nandini! Shaadi ho gayi" he smirked. Silly, Silly man! All guests and pandit ji headed towards the dining area. While we all family members stayed back for pictures and all.
Mu- Manik abhi tu bindaas pakad le koi kuch nahi bolega
Ca- arey usko toh lisence mil gaya hai!
Nav- hain? Lisence?
Ca- khullam khulla romance karne ka
Dh- yeh toh shaadi ke baad sab ko mil ta hai lekin Manik, abhi bhi chance hai bhaag le!
Al- baby what to do you mean by bhaag le?! Aisa bhi kya hai shaadi ke baad?
Dh- dekh shuru ho gaya! Biwi se bach ke bhaag buddy!
Ab- Arey guys Nandu bhi kuch kam nahi hai! Bhaag ne degi hi nahi Manik ko.
M- ho gaya kya tum sab ka bakwaas kar ke?
Vi- lekin Manik, Biwi se tang aake extra marital affair kar loge?
What the actual fuck? This girl had no limits whatsoever. Who is she pehli baat toh?! Jab se aayi hai bas problems create kiye hai!
