A Conference Call

EIGHT WEEKS LATER:

Sanem and Can were sitting on the beach playing with the twins when he heard his phone ping from a text. <Son, please come to my office now. Ibriam wants to have a conference call> "Sanem, I have been asked to Dad's office for a conference call" getting up brushing the sand off his clothes "OK, will you please send CeyCey or Ayhan down to help me gather up the toys. It's time to feed them anyway." Can heads up to the house as Sanem watches him and wondered what was going on. It had been a long time since a meeting had been called and she became very concerned that he would be begged to do something.

They took Ates and Deniz up to the house to be fed. Sanem had CeyCey and Ayhan put the twins in the highchairs out on the patio. She gave them a smashed up banana so she could puree the fresh veggies out of the garden. Mevkibe and Mihriban were in the kitchen fixing sandwiches and fruit for lunch. "Mom, Mihriban! what is going on? Why was a meeting called?"......."Sanem, we don't know. Your Father and Bulut were called in also"......."Guess we will find out when they are done" Mihriban replied.

When they walked out on the patio CeyCey was teaching the twins how to blow raspberries with their tongues. The three of them were laughing having a good old time. "Do I need to put a bib on you too CeyCey. Your wearing banana. You are a bad influence on my children."......."Mommy is mean kiddos. She won't let us have any fun" Sanem just rolled her eyes at him and sat down in front of Ates to begin feeding her. She handed CeyCey Deniz food to feed him. Sanem, Mevkibe and Mihriban had a smirk on their faces knowing what was about to happen. "CeyCey, are you sure you don't need a bib?"......."No, Ms Meany"......."OK, don't say I didn't ask"....... Little Ates was like her Mommy, she Loves her food and Deniz was not one take eating seriously and liked to play with his food and make a mess. Can found that out and would always offer to fed Ates. Deniz was a Mommas boy and would eat good for her. The four women sat there watching and trying not to laugh when Deniz started doing raspberries as he ate. CeyCey was now wearing the puree carrots and peaches. "Sanem, can you please help me, Deniz is not corporating with me"........"Nope, you taught him this now deal with the consequences."........"Well, I didn't think he would do this with his food. Look how nicely Ates is eating"......."That's because she loves her food like her Mother. Deniz eats well for me, so I don't think that is a problem. You got him all fired up before meal time and now he thinks its something to play with. Trust me Can learned the hard way too"........ "Let me fed Ates and you fed Deniz than"....... "Nope, you two can make all the mess you want over there and guess what CeyCey?............You have the privilege of cleaning up the mess and bathing Deniz afterwards."........."I'll just wipe him down and we will get in the pool to rinse off. Right buddy?" Deniz laughs at Ceycey and he gives him a high five. CeyCey and Can were both trying to teach him that. He just puts his little hand out right now with his palm up. By this time the meal was through, CeyCey literally had to rinse the patio off and himself with the hose. Sanem stripped Deniz down with only his diaper on. Wiped him down and put a shirt on him since it was nap time.

Aziz, Nihat, Bulut and Can came out from the office with very concerned faces. Mihriban and Mevkibe had them sit down to eat their lunch. The women watched as they ate until Mihriban finally had to ask "Is everything ok?" Aziz leaned back in his chair as she could see tears form in his eyes. Sanem looked over at Can that was sitting there staring down at the table in deep thought.

"Something is wrong isn't it?" Sanem said. Nihat nodded his head yes. He sat there waiting to see if Aziz or Can would speak up. After 5 minutes of waiting he finally said "Emre is missing"......."What?" Mihriban replied. "Ibriam went to the Rehab Center to pick him up. His ankle bracelet was laying on the bed along with his cell phone. We don't know if he ran away yet. Ibriam is at the Center with some of the Special Task Team gathering information."........"How long do you think he has been missing?" Mevkibe asked "They believe it happened in the middle of the night. That's what we are waiting to hear. They are questioning the staff that was on the over night shift." Can's phone started to ring. He got up from the table and walked over by the edge of the hill overlooking the sea.

While Can was on the phone Mihriban asked Aziz "Love do you think he bailed out? Knowing that he had to go out in the field to work now"......."I hope not. All the counseling sessions that Can and I had to attend with him seem to have helped us three. He is or was doing so much better. Even Can has been experiencing healing from Huma. It has benefited the both of them. I never realized the damage that bitch had done to my son's until I heard it through the counseling.".........."Can, hasn't told me anything about the sessions. But I can see he has been dealing with alot of inward things. I leave him alone and if he wants to talk to me he will if he wants to. The last thing I want is to pressure him. Has Can and Emre's relationship improved any?" Sanem asked as she watches her Husband pace back and forth while talking on the phone. "Yes, daughter it has improved, but not 100 percent yet. Can still is having some trust issues with Emre. And if he bailed this will not help them at all. It may make things worse again between them"
Aziz headed over toward Can to see what was going on. He put his hand on his shoulder to let him know he was there next to him.
Can finally hangs up the phone "What's going on Son?"........"We need to go to Headquarters. I need to research the names of patients and the staff on the main system. Ibriam got a list from their security guard. He may not have bailed. Dad I want to work with Ibriam and go out in the field to find Emre."........"Are you sure you want to do this Son?. Do they need me to go to Headquarters also?"......."Yes, they want Nihat there too. I think you will only have to stay a few days to do research while I am out working with Ibriam"........ "OK, when do they want us there?"......."As soon as possible"......."All right lets go tell the girls and pack our bags. Did you call Ozgur"........"Yes, he is fueling up the plane and waiting for us. I'll get Bulut to take us over to the Island and drop us off. He needs to stay here with the girls and the twins." The two of them walk back over to break the news to the women.
