Two Brother's Down

Daybreak was beginning when you could hear a helicopter approaching and landing in a open area of land free from trees.

Men were pulling up on ATV's loaded with medical supplies. Ibriam jumped on one and headed in the direction that the shed was at. The others were ordered to stay behind, break down the campsite and wait for further instructions. Ibriam had contacted Mitat and gave him a report. He would called Aziz as soon as they find Emre and Can. The other ATV's split up to search the many bear pit traps in the surrounding area. Paramedics were on stand by. What the Ranger told Ibriam that the size of the pit only two men could go in with a basket to load the men on. The plan was to fly them to the nearest Hospital with a Helicopter Landing pad on its roof and they were notified to standing by also. The Ranger had a map of the ones closet to the shed that were marked on the map of the bear traps and directed the driver on were to go. Three were check and no sign of Emre or Can. There was one left that was tucked way back further away from the shed. They road in that direction until it could be seen. Ibriam jumped off and ran to it. Looking down he saw two males asleep both in a fetal position. "They both are here. Get the Paramedics now" Ibriam yelled down to Can and Emre and got no response whatsoever. The Ranger came to see how big this hole was and how many men could go down with a basket. He then look up at the sky making sure a Helicopter could hoover over without any obstacles of trees blocking it from bringing them up one by one. The first priority was to tend to Emre because of not knowing how long he had been there. Can would be next since he had only been there 36 hours and being the larger of the two they needed Emre out first to be able to work on Can. The ATV pulled up with two Paramedics along with medical supplies driven by a Ranger. They unloaded the ATV with everyone's help and placed them by the pit. Each Paramedic was lowered down one at at time. Ibriam told them that Emre was on their left and Can was on the right with long hair. Emre was checked out still unresponsive. They placed a neck brace on his neck in case he had a injury which appeared to show signs. An IV line was inserted immediately. He was definitely dehydrated. The Helicopter was hovering above as they lowered a line down in the pit to hook the basket to. Both Paramedics carefully placed Emre in it and covered him up with many blankets. When he was put in the helicopter and secured, it flew off taking him to the hospital right away. Next came Can. Still unconscious as they check him out. They saw he had head injury that had been bleeding with a nice size knot that had formed that they wrapped guaze around his head. Place a neck brace on him and also hooked up a IV line to him. The Paramedics asked for two strong men to help put him on the basket since he was so large. Two were lowered down as the next Helicopter arrived lowering the basket down to them. They managed to get Can in there and was lifted up and flew him away also. Ibriam was told what hospital to go to and the ATV drove him to Can Truck so he could get to the hospital faster. He found Can's keys in his backpack jumped in the truck  speeding away. He was escorted by two Police Cars. He called Mitat to let him know what was happening and to notify Aziz right away.

Back on the Island everyone was out on the patio. Aziz and Nihat were reading the newspaper as part of their morning routine but hadn't read it. Sanem and Leyla were feeding the twins in the high chairs while Mihriban and Mevkibe were talking about the gardens. Aziz phone rang and when he saw it was Mitat he answered right away. Aziz stood immediately when he heard what Mitat was saying. The look on his face made everyone stop what they were doing. Aziz color in his face turned white as a ghost. He looked over at Sanem, than at Leyla. Both girls knew that something most be terribly wrong. He hung up and stood there trying to find the right words to say. "Aziz, what's wrong" Mihriban asked in a very concerned tone.............."They found Emre. But, Can was not heard from in 36 hours and they found him in a bear pit with Emre. They flew them to a hospital. Both are unconscious and dehydrated. Emre has a possible neck injury and Can has a head injury. Girls go pack a bag we need to get there as soon as possible. I will call Ozgur to come here and pick up us by helicopter." Everyone sat there in total shock not knowing what to say. Nihat turned to Sanem and said "Go, be with your Husband. We will take care of the babies. Go pack now girls" They did as they were told and rushed up to get their things packed. Mihriban went upstairs to help Aziz. He grabbed Emre wallet with all his ID in it that was given to him from the Rehab center. Sanem was in tears trying to gather her things together. Nihat walked in to comfort her with Ates in his arms as Mevkibe went and tried to comfort Leyla with Deniz in her arms. Bulut rushed to the house in the golf cart to bring them down to the landing where Ozgur would be waiting for them. Sanem kissed her babies and held them tight in her arms. "You be good for your Grandparents. I Love you both so much. I must go and take care of Daddy" as tear ran down her checks saying it to each of them. Leyla and Sanem then kissed and hugged Mevkibe and Nihat goodbye. Sanem turned to Mihriban and hugged her as she whispered in her ear. "Please call Gamze. We may need her to go and take care of Can and Emre when they come home." Mihriban hugged her and said "I will call her as soon as you leave. Sanem, Can was so strong for you when you came here in your condition. You must now be strong for him. It will be ok. I Love you"......."I Love You too" Aziz than hugged and kissed Mihriban and promised to call as soon as he finds out his son's conditions. The three of them left to meet Ozgur. Mihriban, Mevkibe and Nihat watch as the helicopter flew over head in the direction of the Mainland. Aziz called ahead having his driver pick them up at the airport to drive them immediately to the hospital.
