A Captain and His Mate

Can and Sanem finally checked out of the Hotel to head home. He had her condense the many bags of things she had bought that way it was be easier for them both to carry. "Sanem, I need to stop at a friend's house before we leave" They walked down a sidewalk that had many waterfront homes. A man was preparing a boat when Can walked up to him. They greeted each other with a hug and introduce him to Sanem.

"It already for you" said Can's friend as he handed him a envelope. "Thank You"........"Hope Sanem enjoys it as much as my wife has" Sanem looked at them both with curiosity. "What's going on Can?" He  shook hands with Can and Sanem then left. " Can pinched her dimples and climbed on the boat. "Hand me the bags Sanem" She does what he asked watching him place them in the small interior cabin. He then reaches for her to take his hand so he can help her board. On top of the console layed two hats. One said Captain the other said First mate.

"He picks up the Captain hat and places it on his head. Next he puts the other on Sanem. "I bought you this boat to travel back and forth to get to your business."........ "Are you serious Can? I don't know how to drive a boat"........"I am going to teach you right now. But, you must also take a Safety Boating Course. They hold them here so you will have to register for the class. I am the Captain until you complete the course then the reins will be turned over to you. I will back down to being your first mate. But, until then my Love you will have to listen to my commands."........"So, when I pass this course, I get to boss you around on the vessel and be in control?"........Can laughed as he replied "Yes, Sanem you get to be the boss of me when you passed my driving test and the course. This is one of the shared control things that we agreed on."......"OOOOOK! Let's get started then. The sooner we get this done the sooner I can be the Captain"
He has her put on a life vest as he did the same. He then showed her where the ignition was and had her start the engine. "I will stand right behind you to help you steer until you get comfortable enough to drive it on your own. You need to trust me. So try not to be nervous. Just listen to what I tell you and you will be fine. This is not a fast boat so you don't have to worry about that."......."I trust you Captain Can" Sanem said taking a hard swallow.

Can guided Sanem slowly away from the dock and headed further out away from land. He had her steer toward home. "Can, I can't do this with all these boat out here. You take over"......."Nope, you can do this. Just listen to me and stay on your right of them. Believe me, they can see that I am teaching you. They will be courteous"......."I don't know about this Captain Can!"......."Your doing fine First Mate Divit"
Can had her drive over to the Island to practice docking the boat at their pier and backing up. He had to go check on something  while they were there. Sanem decided to go see the horses while Can did what he had to do. She fed them and decided to take them one at a time for a ride on the beach. She was so happy to have them again and was looking so forward to the day they could move there and ride them each day like she use to. She was riding Albatross when Can came up to her riding Phoenix. All they could do was smile at each other as they thought about their riding times together on the farm. "Can, do you think we could come here Saturday and bring Ates and Deniz. Just the four of us."......."Sure, we can have a picnic, take them horse back riding and swim in the pool since it is ready. When we get back to Dad's, you and I can sit down and make a list on what we will need here for the day. Plus we need to look for furniture so it can be ordered and delivered."........."Great, lets get these two back to the barn and go home. I miss the twins, it's been two days since I have seen them."........"I will be looking forward to the day we come here instead of Dads."........"Can! When do you think that will be able to move in?"........"Well, a month to six weeks. It depends on the furniture also."........"So it sounds like the business will be done before we are able to move into our home"......."Sorry baby, looks that way"
Can could see that Sanem was a little disappointed about not being able to move into their home before the business would open. She rode back to the barn not saying a word as Can just rode behind her. He had to talk to her about something and didn't want to upset her anymore so he remained quite while helping put the horses away. She wasn't in the mood to drive the boat back to Aziz's, in which Can could see so he hopped on the boat and started for home.
As they walked up to the house Mihriban and Mevkibe were out on the nice grass area with Deniz and Ates. They were kneeling down on the grass opposite one another. Can and Sanem began to approach them when Deniz spotted Sanem as he was holding onto Mevkibe. The next thing that happened made Sanem and Can begin to cry. Deniz started to walk toward them letting go of his Grandmother. Mihriban turned Ates around so she could see her parents. Ates of course got so excited to see her daddy and took off toward him following Deniz. Can and Sanem knelt done to their level waiting for them. They both hugged Deniz and Ates tight giving lots of kisses on their little chubby cheeks and were just as excited as the twins were. Mihriban and Mevkibe joined them as they told Can and Sanem that they started to walk this morning.
