Just Between Us

Uncle Mitat walked in the waiting room where Ibriam and Sanem were after visiting Emre and Can. Aziz was right behind him. The four of them talked for sometime. Aziz, Ibriam and Uncle Mitat were going back to the farm to freshen up and get some much needed rest. As they were getting ready to leave each one hugged Sanem. Uncle Mitat said one final thing to her just before walking out the door "Ibriam will bring Aziz back in the morning and bring you back to the farm so you can freshen up and get what you need and have your closure there. Take all the time you need my sweet niece. Gather all Can's things so when it is time for him to go home you can leave straight from the hospital. A briefcase will be on the bed for you to get your things. It has a combination so you can lock it. Ibriam will bring you back when you are ready. I wish you much luck on your endeavor. We will keep what we discussed between us only. I am sure when you tell Can all of this he will support you 100 percent."........Sanem gives her Uncle a big hug and said "Thank You"........."Now, go be with your Husband. We will see you at the farm tomorrow" The four of them walk out of the waiting room. Aziz, Ibriam and Mitat head to the elevator and Sanem goes to Can for the night. She enters the room seeing the Doctor checking on Can "How is he doing?"......."Actually, he seems to be improving a little. When he gets his scan done in the morning and if the swelling is subsiding. I may remove the tube for his mouth and put him on regular oxygen. If he does well with that I will start trying to wake him up slowly. I can't explain it. Seems like since you came he is fighting to recover. But, his pneumonia is the same though. The antibiotic should help with that over time."........"That's a good sign isn't it?"........"Yes, let's see how he is in the morning and we will discuss what to do next. Sleep well and remember don't crawl in bed with him"........Ok, Doctor I'll try to contain myself"........."If you need the nurse, just hit the call button. She will be in every few hours checking. See you in the morning"........"Good night" Sanem peeked around to see if Leyla was still asleep and saw she was staring over at Emre "Are you ok?"......."Yes, just thinking"......."About?"....... "I wish that Emre and I had a relationship like you and Can. If we did maybe things wouldn't be like it is"........Sanem pulls the curtain open so they could talk "Leyla, you can. It will take some hard work at first but that's really between you two. Talk to Emre. Tell him you held back on filing for the divorce. If you both really want to work things out both of you should go to a marriage counselor. Don't rush back to him right away. Make him take you out on dates and sleep in separate homes. Make him miss laying in bed with you. If he really care about you he will fight for you."........."It's funny that Dad and Mom told me the same thing."........."Leyla, we can't tell you what to do, just make suggestions. That has to been your decision. Go with what your heart feels. I know you will make the right choice whatever the outcome please know that I will support you and be here for you. "Good night" Sanem turned the light off in the room leaving only the night light on over top of Can's bed. Before getting into the recliner she placed several kisses all over Can's face and gave him a talking to "Tomorrow I want to hear a good report about your scan. Tonight I am sleeping right next to you in this lousy recliner. If they remove your tube from your throat maybe just maybe if you are a good husband I will crawl in there with you tomorrow. I miss our cuddles in bed, I need your strong arms wrapped around me as I sleep. So it is up to you on how you want this to go. I need you and so do the twins. We Love you so much. Good night my Love, See you in my dreams. I'll be waiting at the waterfall on our Island, oh and no clothes are allowed Can Divit." She kissed him one more time before she tried to make herself comfortable for the night. "Leyla"......."Huh"........"I Love You"......."Love You too Sanem"........ Sanem layed there staring at the Love of her life. Thinking about all that they have gone through since they meet. Its has been a rough road that's for sure. The more she thought about it the more she counted her blessings for the good times definitely have made up for the bad ones. She slowly closed her eyes and dreamed of her and Can at the waterfall. Leyla also was sound to sleep and know one knew that Emre had woken up and was happy to see Leyla there beside him. The nurse came in as saw him looking at her. "Well, look who is awake. How are you feeling Emre Bey?"........."Like a truck ran over me a million times"......."That's to be expected after all you have been through. You brother is on the other side of the curtain.".........."Why, is he ok?".........."I will let a Family member explain that to you. He is having some problems but we think he will recover in time. His wife is there by his side. You both are very lucky to have wives that care so much. Be Thankful good women are hard to come by. You rest now"......... Emre was surprised that the Nurse called Leyla his wife. As he closed his eye he said in a low voice "If only, it were true" The room was quite throughout the evening with only a nurse coming and going without disturbing them a they slept.
