Spilling the Beans

Can was walking along the coast at the park talking to Aunt Remide about staying with her for a few days because the Hotel he normally would stay at while he was at the Mainland doing a Photo Shoot messed up the bookings. As he was talking to her he could see people standing around when he saw a Black Van pull up to this group of people. As they were standing in line waiting to load the van. He saw a woman in a long thin coat with a black hood over her head as if she was hiding. She pulled out her phone as it appeared she was answering a call. She slightly turned her body to were he could see  her profile. As he continued to talk to his Aunt and watching what was going on over there in the distance "That can't be her" he said at loud Aunt Remide asked on the other end "Who"........he replied "A woman standing over by a van with a group of people. She looks like Sanem from a distance. Which reminds me I need to call her after I hang up from you." He watched them load up and pulled away. Can had ended the call with his Aunt and tried to call Sanem on her cell phone and got no answer. He then tried the landline phone at her shop. "Hello Ayhan! May I speak to Sanem."......."She is not here Can Bey."......."Where is she?" Ayhan hesitated "Um, she is out doing some errands".......Can could sense her voice seeming like she was a little nervous. "When she returns can you tell her I called and will try again later. I tried to call her cell and she didn't answer."......."Oh, that's because she left it here. I saw it laying on the counter looking at Muzzo's phone laying on the counter."......"Alright, just tell her I called Please."......."Will do!" She disconnected to call before she said goodbye. "She sure acted strange" shrugging it off he called his Dad and got no answer same thing when he tried Mihriban, Mevkibe, and Nihat. "Where is everyone usually someone picks up. So he goes over to the concession booth, orders a cup of tea and sits down at one of the benches looking out across the Bosphorus Bay. The more he thought about Ayhan's conversation with him, he felt like something was off. So he called her back "Ayhan"....."Can Bey, Sanem has not returned yet!"........ "Ayhan would you please go outside and sit somewhere alone so you and I can talk. I sensed by the tone of your voice that you know something. I have known you for quite sometime. The friendship that you and Sanem have, she and along with yourself tell each other things that you swear to keep it amongst yourselves. I have no problem with that whatsoever. But, I know my wife pretty good and lately I have noticed changes in her and can tell when she is hiding something. What I am concerned about and can't help but wonder if she is having an affair with someone behind my back"........"Can Bey, she is not so don't accuse her of that.........OK, I'll tell you what is going on." Can heard Ayhan tell Muzzo to tend to the shop while she goes outside to have a private conversation with someone. Can smiled to himself, knowing that statement about having an affair he would get a rise from Ayhan and she would give in and tell him. She goes out under the steps that leads up to Can's Studio and sat at the picnic table so know one hears her. "OK, Can Bey, I am sitting under your stairs. But, first before I tell anything, I need to know what you have seen or noticed. I'm scared that Sanem will get mad at me if she finds out that I told you and she fires me"......."Ayhan, listen you will not get fired and I will not bring you into this."......."Do you promise?"....... "Yes, with my life"....."OK, now tell me what you have noticed."........"She has been sneaking out of the office twice a week. Comes back, that appears to me that something has upset her. One day last week when I was home with the twins. I cut my hand and went into the medication cabinet to find something to clean it with and cover it. A bottle of anxiety pills were hidden behind the Bandaid box with Sanem's name on it. I searched the Doctor's name that was on the bottle and it lead to a clinic down the street from the shop. Ayhan I think I saw her this morning getting in some van here in the park. But, I may just have been dumb ass me being paranoid."......."No, you weren't its was her"......"What is she doing here and where is she going? Where our the twins?"......"Let me explain something first then I will answer those questions. A month ago Sanem came to me about.......going to see a Therapist during what she told us she had some errands to run. Well, Can Bey she confided in me and only me. No one knows but me and when she goes to these appointments I make up a excuse for her. Anyway, she said she was told by the Doctor that she has PTSD. It is related to her trauma of being raped. Even though she told her story in her book, she never dealt with it or seeked professional help and buried it inward. She also told me that something happen several days prior that triggered the onset again." Can sat there on the other end wondering if he was the cause of this trigger. "Anyway, she started the session the next day. It was determined that she needed to be seen twice a week and once in awhile a Group  session was be thrown in there. That's way she didn't fight you on going over to the Mainland so she could deal with it on her own. The main source Can Bey was her rape that she buried so deep and Thank Goodness she knew she had a problem and took it upon herself to face this monster. She did it for her but, she wanted to do it for you also. That's what she told me. So I promised to be there and give her a shoulder to lean on when she needed it. The best part about this is she found several good people in this group. There is a girl there and I don't know who it is that moved here a long time ago. That girl was one of the victims from Fabri and Yigit. They meet for lunch once a week and lean on each other when a session or day gets hard. She needs someone that has been through the same thing. We are here for her and she knows that, but we will not totally understand what they have been through or felt because we never been in that situation or walked in her shoes"........"You are so right Ayhan. I knew something was going on and between you and I. We have had some problems."......."I did sense something was going on between you two. But Can Bey, she is doing this for you also. She told me she Love you and if she don't get help it may get worse and she doesn't want to loose you. Its been a huge battle for her. She is getting the help she needs, healing each and every day as well the changes we are seeing in her are good."......... "Thank you so much for telling me all of this. You don't know how much this means to me that she took this big step on her own to get help. Now can you answer why she is here?"........"There is a Seminar at a Resort up in the hills in Instubal that her therapist recommended for her to attend. It starts tomorrow and ends Sunday afternoon. The twins are with your Dad and Ms Mihriban. She told them it was a Skin Care Conference but it really is a meditation seminar to help you to relax, clear your mind and connect with your inward spirit. She wanted to do this so she can get off her anxiety medication and get healthy so when you two have another baby it will be a good pregnancy for her and the baby. She does have a fear though of that since she had issues carrying Deniz and Ates and the health problems they had. She said anyone can go to it and has nothing to do with Therapy. She saw the flyer in the office bulletin board at the Doctor's office."........."So anyone can go?"......."Yes"........"Do you know where it is being held"........"Yes, she left me the information in case I had a problem here at the shop"........."Do me a favor! Text me the Name and address of this resort"........"Are you going there?".........."Yes, but don't worry I will use the excuse of seeing a flyer at the Agency's Public information board"........"Great, Good Luck and may it help you both get that breakthrough that you both need. See you later" They disconnect the call. Can heads to his truck and puts in the address on the GPS and heads in that direction.
