Trust

The sun was not up yet as everyone still slept. All of a sudden the fire alarm went off throughout the Resort. As the guest run down the stairs in a orderly fashion to get out. Standing outside of the main entrance waiting for the all clear, the instructor walks out casually "Hello, let me ask all of you a question. When you stay at a Hotel and lay your head on your pillow. Don't you trust the fire alarms to alert you when something is wrong and gets you out on a safe manner. And at home you know subconsciously that the smoke detector is there and don't you trust that smoke detector to do the same?".........everyone answered "Yes"........"Good" ........."How did everyone's night go? Where there any problems with your rooms?".........."I had no heat" said about twelve of them."So what I see is your partner offered you to stay with them. And I bet a blanket barrier was placed between the two of you. Why, maybe something happened in your marriage that caused mistrust and you still feel he or she can't be trusted and I bet that you even sleep in separate rooms at home."........"How does he know this stuff." said a man to another man. "Because I have been there. Let me fill you in on something and this is how I knew it was safe to put you in the same room....... I have a friend that does background checks. I had each of you checked out prior to your arrival.  You all had clean backgrounds and if not you would of been watched carefully and kept in separate rooms. I don't mess around when it come to martial or relationship abuse. Now back to what our task at hand........... What happened through this evenings events, though it is a small effort. You began to trust your partner enough that he or she made sure you got out safely and even grabbed the blanket that was the barrier between you two brought it to keep you both warm. And to top of it, I like what I see, one of you are standing in front of the other wrapped in the blanket to keep one another warm. So to me I see that trust is there and we just need to make some adjustments to gain your trust in each other back into the relationship."......."You planned this? Say the heat system in some of the rooms were broken so we had to sleep in the same room and then deliberately set off the fire alarm just to prove a point at 4 in the morning"......."Yep, let me ask one more question, what is the one word I am looking for out of what I have said"........."Trust?" some replied. "That is correct. Welcome to session number two "Trust" you may head back to your room, breakfast will be served in the private dining room at 6:30 am. Don't be late we have a long day ahead of us."

When Can and Sanem returned to their room she headed right back in the bed to get warm facing Can side. He climbed in facing her. "Are you cold"......."Yes, freezing actually"......."Would you like to cuddle up to me to get warm. Come on baby, let me warm you up. You would always do that when you were cold. I won't bite"......."Ok" she slides closer to him as he placed his arm under her neck, other arm over her and his leg over hers. She placed her head under his chin. Can took in her scent playing with the strands of her hair. They said nothing for awhile. Can finally decide to try to get her to talk to him. He knew she wasn't asleep by her breathing. "Sanem, can I ask you something"......."I'm listening"........"I had to go into the medicine cabinet to get a bandaid and when I took the box out........I saw a bottle of anxiety pills that had your name on it. Did I cause your anxiety?"........."Yes and no"......." What do you mean by that?"........"I felt like I was going crazy. I have PTSD Can, I have been in therapy for a month now and didn't want to tell you. I had buried what happened to me deep inside all these years and never went to a therapist. After that night in your studio it triggered the flashbacks and nightmares to return. I couldn't think straight and started to get depressed. So one day I saw a pamphlet laying on a table at the coffee shop. Took the questionnaire that it had and called the Doctor, went to see her that same day and been seeing her ever since. She put me on the medication to help me with the anxiety and depression. I'm not taking it as much as I was."......."So I did have some role in this."......."Yes, it took that night to release this monster inside me."......."I didn't mean to hurt you. I just was so into the moment and didn't consider what happened to you in the past. I'm proud of you for taking that step on your own to seek help."......"It was very hard at first but, the more therapy session I had it got easier. I still have my bad days but, I have some friends I made in the group therapy that we call or meet up to help each other get through it. No offense to you Can but, you never walked in my shoes to understand what I went through or experienced. There is one girl that went through the same thing and was one of the victims. Her and I have been each others strength and support system. I'll be alright in time. The therapist believes I will be one of those people that recover from PTSD."........."Don't think this has changed the way that I feel about you. I still Love You deeply! Alway have and always will. Even if you choose to walk away from this marriage Sanem. You are my life, the blood that pumps through my veins, my heart only beats for you and I will continue to wait for you to come back to me even if it take years. There will never be another woman in my life but you Sanem. And if I have to die as a lonely old man thats OK with me." Sanem layed there as tears filled her eyes listening to Can say this. She could hear the Love in his voice that he still had for her. After a period of not talking Sanem asked "Can, how did you know I was here?".......He thought about it for a moment promising Ayhan that she would be kept out of it and answered "Dad! I called the house  because I couldn't get ahold of you. He told me that you were here in Instubal for a Skin Care Conference and gave me the Resort information. So I drove up here to be with you since we are partners and wanted to understand more about skin care. When I got here that's when they told me it was this Seminar. I told the guy that you were here. Hearing that it was a couple Seminar made me realize why he was so fast at registering me."........"Good, I am glad you stayed."......."So even if you decide to walk away I will totally understand. We better get ready so we aren't late." Sanem got up first to get ready in the bathroom. Can layed there waiting for her to finish. Than he went in to get ready. They both walked down to the private dining room to have breakfast and start the next session.
