Taking Responsibility

All you could hear was the shutter on the camera when Can took pictures of the warehouse that would be soon Sanem's Business. Aziz and Emre walked around inspecting the walls and ceiling looking for any leaks. "Brother it shows no sign of leaks anywhere. I think the outside need a fresh coat of stucco, paint and new tile shingles on roof."........"I'll talk to Ibriam to give you prices on that. I want him to do the renovations. He won't screw Sanem over on the prices. This place is tall enough to have two floors."........"I agree son. She could have offices on the second floor with a large viewing window to watch the production along with a space in the front to sell products"........"I'll draw up plans and get them to Ibriam to review. This place will work great for her don't you think?"........."Yes" Emre replied. "Let's head out and get something to eat. Than we need to run by Osman's, the bakery and the grocery store to pick up what is needed at home" Aziz orders. Can locks up the warehouse and the three of them walk down the street to a nice little outdoor restaurant. They placed the order, then sat looking out watching the boats pull into the dock not saying a word. Emre looked at his older Brother than at is Dad. "I need to talk to you both." Can and Aziz looked overed at Emre  waiting for him to begin speaking "I want to Thank You both for sticking by me all these months even though I didn't deserve it. Now that I have been released from the Doctor. I have made arrangements to move off the Island. I have rented a small cottage here on the Big Island. That way I can attend my weekly meetings and be closer to the office once it opens. Its time for me to stand on my own two feet again and take responsibility for my life."......."Are you sure about this Son?"......"Yes, I have made a list of goals that I want to accomplish on my own. With no ones help. Besides, Leyla and I will be going to a marriage counselor to working out relationship. I want to show her that I can do this. We agreed to date only. No living or sleeping together. I want her back and I want a Family with her. But, I do realize that it may or may not work out, I need to at least try."......"That's nice to hear. I hope you both can work through this and wish you both much luck" Can replied "I'm proud of you Son for stepping up and taking responsibility. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask."......."Thank You Dad! I will be just fine." The meal was brought to the table and the three of them dug in immediately. Small talk was the rest of the conversation as they made jokes and laughed through the meal like old times. Just before Aziz paid the bill he said one more thing to Emre
"Son, People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within. And you have began to do that. You will be ok. It's not going to be easy but, you will make it in all areas of your life. Keep the faith and if you ever feel like you are about to relapse make sure your sponsor is the first one you contact and if you can't get a hold of him then call Can or I. We will drop whatever we are doing and come to you"......."Thank you both. There is one thing I must do before I leave tomorrow is talk to Sanem and try to ask for her forgiveness one more time. I have hurt these two Aydin girls along with disappointing their parents. And these dear people are the first on my list to fix"........"Just have patience Emre. Sanem is hurt and pretty pissed off at you right now. She will come around in time after you prove that you are going to look out for her financial part of the business and not take or steal from her."......."Don't worry Can, I will approach her slow and gently"

Aziz, Can and Emre returned home with arm full of groceries. Can saw Sanem sound to sleep in the sun on the lounger. She was laying on her side in a ball with a pillow tucked up around her stomach. "You guys need to let Sanem sleep. She is not feeling well" Mevkibe told them "What's wrong?" Can replied with concern "Her friend came. She has major cramps. We had her take pain medicine and told her to lay out in the sun so the heat could help her." Gamze said........."You men just don't understand what we women go through on a monthly basis. Some month's are worse then other's. She has had some stressed out days lately.  That's probably why she is having a bad month on top of being the first one since she stoppedbreastfeeding" added Mihriban. "Yes, she has. My poor baby" Can saying with sympathy. 

Several hours later Can went over to Sanem to wake her up because dinner was ready that he had offered to cooked. He squatted down next to her and placed a flower under her nose taking it ever so gently tickling her with it.

She swatted it a few times before she opened her eyes. She then grabbed onto Can's arm looking up at him "Hi, beautiful brown eyes, dinner is ready. Are you hungry?"........"When did you get back?"........"Several hours ago! I brought you something from the bakery. It's your favorite, fresh chocolate covered strawberries and a huge, I mean a huge Chocolate cupcake for you and I to share. I heard you weren't feeling well because of your friend arriving. Guess no better time to have gotten you these chocolate treats. I prepared a very nice dinner so come on lets go eat."......."Aw, thank you Can, for thinking of me"........"After you eat. I want you to relax since I was gone most of the day leaving you to take care of the twins. I will take over so you can have a break since your not feeling to well."........"Your so good to me. I Love You"......"I Love you too. Now come on before our meal gets cold" pinching her dimples that he adored so much when she smiles. Can helps Sanem up as he twirls her around and they walk up to the dinner table with his arm around her neck and her arm around his waist.
