(Y/n's POV)

My head was pounding and my vision blurred a bit. I opened my eyes to see a blue figure hovering over my face. "You need help..?" The figure said quietly enough for me to hear. Finally, my vision was unblurred and I realized who the figure is. It was Kris, but they looked a lot different. Their skin was blue, and so was their hair. They were wearing some kind of battle armor like they were a knight or something. They also had a blue and pink scarf around their neck. "Huh? Oh yeah, thanks.." I said and took their hand and got up. I looked around your surroundings. What was a whole new world doing in a storage closet? Has this always been here? "You look.. really nice.." they said sweetly. I looked down at myself and saw I was wearing dw/o (dark world outfit). "Thank you, but uh, where are we?" I said lightly blushing. "No idea," they said. "Wait- so you WEREN'T aware this place was in the storage closet?!" I said. "Nope, this is.. new," they said. I sighed. It's my first day of school and now I'm stuck in a closet world with no way out. "Let's just go this way." I gestured. "And for the record, your voice is great, you should talk a lot more." I smiled. "Thanks.." they blushed. We both walked down the path until we were greeted by a white light on the side of the path. "Should I- should I touch it?" I said. "Let me," they replied. They touched the light and "saved" they explained. We continued through this dark place and saw these little sticks waving at you as you passed. A few even tried to attack you but failed.

Soon we came across a gap between our path and the other side. "How are we supposed to get across now?" I said. "Look." Kris pointed at an inscription on the wall. "In this land, only eyes blinded by dark can see the way.." Kris read out loud. "What do you think that means?" I asked. They walked over to the next wall. There were three eyes with patterns under them. Under those patterns were holes with switches in them. "It looks like a puzzle," Kris said. They reached their hand into the first one and flicked the switch. The first and third eye turned black. "Only eyes blinded by darkness can see the way... We got to turn the eyes black!" I realized. I flicked the second switch, the second eye turned black and the third eye turned back to normal. Kris ran over to the third switch and flicked it. The third eye turned black and a glass bridge went across the gap. You both quickly made your way across the bridge.

"What are these things..?" I gestured towards the abnormally huge piles of dust. Kris reached out to touch the dust pile and it exploded. They turned back to look at me and shrugged. The two of us continued to touch these random piles of dust. "Okay, last one." I sighed.  I reached out to it just to reveal Susie covered in dust. "H-Hey! B...Back off! Come any closer and I'll-" Susie screamed surprised. Just like Kris, Susie looked different. Her purple scales were now bright pink, and her hair was magenta. She had spiked armbands and bracelets and was wearing a black and pink sleeveless jacket, with a purple top, and a black belt with a gold heart as the buckle. Her pants as well were magenta, and she wore tall black boots. "..K...Kris?! Aaand new kid. Heh- honestly surprised you survived for this long." Susie chuckled. "wHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?!" I screamed offended.  "I mean, you're nothing without Kris behind you, Y/n," Susie stated coldly. "Susie. Let's just go." Kris stepped up and said. "Fine, whatever. You lead," she replied. Kris went in front and I went behind Susie. It wasn't too long before Susie got impatient and walked past Kris, tired of how "slow" they were walking. Before trying to catch up to Susie, they grabbed my hand. "Y/n, are you okay..? Sorry about Susie, she's.." they trailed off. "A bully." I sighed. "I'm sure she'll come around Kris, she doesn't seem all that bad. Even though she.." I replied. Their grip tightened. "Kris, if there's anything you wanna talk about, then you can tell me. I'm here for you." I said reassuringly. "You know, Y/n, you're a really kind person. Even though we just met like, an hour ago, you stood up to Susie for me and you-" Before Kris could even finish, I hugged them tightly. A light blush crept onto my face as I comforted them. "That's what friends do Kris, and I'd do it again for you." I smiled.

For some reason, the particular word "friends" made my heart sink. I tried not to think about it, but Kris looked like their mind was in a whole different place after that. "Come on Kris, we gotta get out of this gloomy world."
