(Kris' POV)

I watched Y/n and Susie walk off together. "Does Y/n like... Susie?" I thought. I shook my head trying to snap out of my negative thought and saved. We easily dealt with another light puzzle and a few more Ponmen. I saved again and Y/n ran towards me...and hit me. "Ow! What was that for?" I asked confused. "THAT was for not calling me over to you since you clearly wanted to stay by me!" they said. "I- How did you know? I MEAN- UH- WHERE'D YOU GET THAT IDEA??" I asked fumbling on my words. "Susie told me that you wanted to walk with me and hang out with me!" they explained. I looked over to Susie far ahead and she smirked and chuckled. "I- uh- I do want to but you don't have to-" I said. "Well I do too, so you won't stop me if I do... THIS!" they responded. They picked me up and carried me on their back. "Don't your feet hurt?!" I said flabbergasted. "No actually, you're really pretty- I-I MEAN PRETTY LIGHT-" Y/n said quickly. We saw Lancer up ahead and they put me down.

"Hohoho... Well, STEP on my BOOTS... If it isn't the friendly Fun Gang," Lancer said dramatically. "You boys and girls better turn back while you still can." he continued. "And uh- WHY would we need to do that-?" Y/n said nervously. "Hohoho... I'm simply warning you, something EXTREMELY dangerous lies ahead." He said while stepping forward. "Hohoho! It's actually very inconvenient, I can't go home at all because I'm so scared!" He said as he stepped forward again. "Wh....what is it?" Susie said nervously.  Lancer moved aside like he was revealing what was "so scary"  farther up ahead. We walked more to see what he was rambling on about. IT WAS THE CHECKER PIECE FROM EARLIER. THE CHECKER PIECE??? THAT'S WHAT WAS SO SCARY?? "Oh, hey, little guy..." Ralsei said sweetly. "THAT??? THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE AFRAID OF???" Susie said. "I KNOW RIGHT?? LIKE I COULD STEP ON THAT LITTLE SHIT-" Y/n replied. "Y/n! That wasn't very nice." Ralsei said disappointed. "BUT- LOOK AT IT??" Y/n debated. "W..wow, Purple girl and person whose name I do not know! You're not scared?!" Lancer said impressed. "Heh, why would I be?" Susie said mockingly. "Hmm, well normally," Lancer said trailing off. As if on cue, the checker piece walked to the end of the Great Board and a crown fell from the sky onto its head, and immediately grew LIKE 7 FUCKING FEET- "It crushes people to death I think." Lancer continued.

We went into battle and Ralsei and I warned it about Susie. Unfortunately, it couldn't understand us. Susie attacked it, and Y/n defended. After majorly dodging its attacks, Y/n ACTed and tried deep bowing. Ralsei, Y/n and I deep bowed while Susie kept attacking. K.Round bowed back to us and the crown loosened. "That's it, guys! If we keep bowing, the crown will fall off and it'll turn back into a little guy!" Ralsei explained. "Susie! Help us bow at it!" he said. "Nah, its crown'll come off when I smash this guy to the GROUND." She said as she attacked it. We dodged some more and Susie got hit a few times. Y/n and I bowed, while Ralsei used HEAL PRAYER on Susie. Suddenly, K.Round healed itself with milk, also raising its attack power. "IT CAN HEAL??" Y/n said surprised. "Susie! Stop attacking it, you're making it stronger!" Ralsei warned her. "Pssh, and let it think I'm AFRAID? No way!" Susie replied. "IT CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND US DUMBASS! JUST STOP ATTACKING IT BEFORE WE ALL DIE!" Y/n said irritated. Susie ignored them and attacked anyways while we bowed. We were all almost dead so Y/n, Ralsei, and I healed up with some Darkburgers while Ralsei used HEAL PRAYER on Susie again. We bowed again as Susie attacked it. We dodged for the last time before we bowed again and the crown slid off its head, turning it into a little checker piece again. We won and got 0 EXP and 17 D$.

"We...We did it?!" Susie said confused. "Wow!! You clowns really ARE heroes!! You guys saved the next twenty minutes of my life!!" Lancer said impressed. "Yeah, yeah, I am pretty great, huh...?" Susie said taking Lancer's praise. "Ummm, Susie..? Not to downplay your contributions but, you... didn't actually help at all." Ralsei said. "You only made everything WORSE by attacking it." "Okay sure Susie wasn't listening to us which DID kinda make it hard for us to win the battle, but everyone does that sometimes! Plus, we came out that battle alive right, and nobody died, so maybe we don't have to be too mean to Susie-" Y/n said defending Susie. "I know Y/n, but if she had just acted nice to it in the first place... we could've avoided that entire battle!" Ralsei reasoned. "Huh? Are you FOR REAL? That thing was BLOODTHIRSTY!! IT ATTACKED US!!" The only thing keeping it at bay was MY AXE!" Susie argued back. "Damn not even a thank you for defending you when you were being downplayed..?" Y/n mumbled under their breath, just loud enough for Susie and I to hear. "Yeah, yeah, thanks Y/n." Susie said and ruffled their hair. "And, earlier, you terrorized those troops..." Ralsei further reasoned. "Those guys were ENEMIES. They're FOR terrorizing." Susie argued. "Yeah!! She's right!!" Lancer dipped in. "And before that, you ate an innocent person's cake..." Ralsei continued. "...Cakes... are also my enemy." I smacked Susie's arm "Yeah right. You were just hungry." I teased. "Sheesh, yeah that too-" Susie said rubbing the back of her head. "Susie, whether you like it or not, you're a hero, one with the power to bring peace to the future. Could you please start acting like one?" Ralsei said. "...Yeah, when you lay it out like that, I've been a pretty bad hero haven't I?" Susie said. "NO??" Y/n replied. "Alright Ralsei, you got it. I'll change my ways. From now on, I won't be such a rotten hero anymore," she "agreed". Susie instead walked over to Lancer. "I'll just be one of the BAD GUYS instead!" She said. "R... Really!? You're going to be on MY team?" Lancer questioned with excitement. "Yeah, sounds way easier, honestly." Susie admitted. "Susie, you can't just-" "Quiet, Toothpaste Boy! Susie is MY comrade now!" Lancer said, cutting Ralsei off. "Hahaha, yeah, Toothpaste Boy!" Susie jeered on. "We're going to have monogrammed track jackets!" Lancer said. "Yeah!" Susie agreed. "And sleepovers where we tell each other secrets!" he continued. "Umm, yeah?" Susie agreed, unsure. "Anyway, uhh, see you guys never." she said, ready to leave. "Haha!! If you can even last that long!" he laughed, while they both ran into the forest up ahead. "I.. perhaps I shouldn't have been so hard on her.." Ralsei admitted. "Yeah you shouldn't've." Y/n mumbled under their breath again. "But, I just worry that if Susie's too eager to fight.. then.. well let's just be kind to her, I'm sure she'll come around soon!"

(Y/n POV)

We walked on ahead and Kris saved near another doorframe, although this time, the door seemed kinda different. "Uh, guys? Remember that empty doorframe we saw in the field?" I said, pointing their attention to the door. "Uh, yeah, what about it?" Kris asked. "This one actually HAS a door in it, and there are flames coming from underneath it." I answered. We all stood in front of the strange door. "Should I open it?" Kris suggested. "No no, allow me." I said, bowing dramatically while Kris chuckled. We walked through the door and ended up back in the Field of Hopes and Dreams. "Wow! It's a teleporting door! Isn't that neat?" Ralsei said. "Well, at least that means we don't have to walk back and forth all the time, huh?" I said. "Pretty convenient honestly. " Kris said. "Well we might as well go to Seam's shop and buy more healing items, we were running low on Darkburgers anyways." they continued. "Sounds like a plan." I agreed. After getting a full inventory of Darkburgers and Dark Candy, we traversed onward on our long adventure. We went through an unavoidable battle with a Rabbick and found Susie and Lancer. "Susie..! Lancer..!" Ralsei called out.  Susie chuckled. "Well if it isn't the so-called Heroes!" Lancer said. "Are you finally ready to see what happens.." Susie said, leaning on Lancer. "When you try to act soft.." "Against a team that crushes ANYONE in their way?" "Dark Jack Lancer!" "Violent Axe Susie! Together we are.." "The Dark Fun Gang!" they both introduced. "Not gonna lie that intro was sick." I said, pretty impressed. "I know right!! We just came up with it!" Lancer said jumping up and down. "Um.. so what's your, um, evil plan?" Ralsei asked. "Huh? Dude, we JUST formed our team, we haven't done anything past our intro yet." Susie replied. "Have a little patience, please..." Lancer agreed. "Oh, um, sorry... We're, um, looking forward to the rest!" Ralsei apologized. "Heh, well, you won't have to look forward for long." Susie said. "Starting now... we're going to work CEASELESSLY.." Lancer continued. "Unstoppably.." "To make an evil plan to THRASH you clowns." Lancer finished. "Watch your backs." Susie warned. "And your fronts!" Lancer said as they both ran farther into the forest. "Well uh, let's go!" Ralsei said after some silence.

After almost walking into a battle with another Rabbick, we found Susie and Lancer sitting in front of a tree stump. "How's the evil scheming going?" Ralsei asked. "Huh? Oh, that? We, uh, got bored so we're having a snack." Susie replied. "Out of a stump??" I questioned. "C'mon all I had for breakfast was chalk!" Susie said. "Ai. I could make breakfast for you, you know? I got really good cooking skills!" I suggested. "You could? I- I mean- pssh, nah I don't want your pity food." Susie said. "Yeahhh you're lying." I said.  "What are you guys even eating??" Kris asked. "Just a daily treasure I hid in this stump's orifice." Lancer answered.  "What is it?" Ralsei asked. "Feast for yourself, my main man." Lancer replied.  We all looked at each other and Kris stook their finger in the stump, covering it in a sticky-looking goop. Before they put it in their mouth, I quickly licked it off. "Mm. Tastes like salsa." I said. I turned around Kris was covering their face, a blushing mess. Susie laughed really hard looking at them like this. I think it's kinda cute. I grabbed their hand and thanked Lancer for the stump salsa and we continued on our way. We saw these spinning diamond arms and got hit a couple times, but healed up with some Darkburgers, I wonder what's in these that make them taste so good? After passing those, we found Susie and Lancer standing in front of a blueprint next to spikes. We looked to the left and saw a puzzle next to a sign. As if they knew it all along, Kris put in spade, diamond, spade and switched it and the spikes went away. "Heh, thanks for doing the puzzle for us losers!" Susie said as she and Lancer ran away with the blueprint. "Kris how the hell did you know that?? Are you psychic??  "No, I just matched the puzzle with the pattern on top of the empty spaces, nothing fancy," they said lightly blushing. "Well, regardless of how easy it was you did it without even reading the sign! You're a genius you know that?" I said blushing. Before I could say another word, they hugged me tightly. "Thank you Y/n. For being nice to me and not treating me like shit," they said with tears in their eyes. "You're welcome Kris." I smiled. They buried their head in my chest. Maybe we should take just a little break.

I JUST CAME BACK LAST NIGHT AND WENT TO MY COMPUTER TO FINISH THE CHAPTER AND NOT KEEP YALL WAITING. ALSO THANK YOU FOR 200+ READS!!
