Y/N

"Rise and shine everyone! Breakfast is calling!"

I groaned as I sat up, Emma's bright voice waking me up from a deep slumber. "Good morning Y/N!"  I turned and saw Phil standing beside my bed with a bright smile on his face. "Morning, Phil." I patted his head and got out of bed.

Gracefield, that's the name of the orphanage I have been living in for 10 years.

"I can't put my shoes on!" "I can't untie my stupid shoelaces!"

"Wait up HAHAHAHHA!" "Stop playing around and get dressed!"

I sweat dropped at the chaotic scene unfolding before me.

These are my siblings.

"Thanks Y/N!" Marnya exclaimed as I helped her tie her shoelaces. "No problem." I smiled.

Although we aren't related by blood, I think of them as siblings and I love them dearly.

Everyone headed towards the dining room. "Good morning Don! Good morning Conny and of course good morning to our precious little Bernie!" Emma greeted as she carried Phil.

"Good morning Y/N!" Emma yelled. I snickered before greeting back, "Good morning to you too!"

I headed towards Norman and helped him arrange the dining tables. "Wonder what's for breakfast today." I smiled, "you'll definitely enjoy it, regardless what it is." Norman shook his head, before a loud exclaim interrupted our thoughts.

"I'm gonna eat you!" Emma shouted as she ran towards Thoma and Lani. They laughed as they chased each other around.

I chuckled at them. 'How adorable..'

"Gwood Mhworning!" Emma's voice was a little distorted due to Phil pulling at her mouth.

"Good morning!" "Good morning Emma." Norman and I greeted, stifling our laughter at the scene unfolding before us.

"Gwood Mhworning Emma." Ray mocked. "What are you five?"

"You haven't had breakfast yet you're full of energy!" Norman laughed.

"Hey I'm eleven! Just like you three!" Emma pouted.

Mama let out a giggle at Emma's pouty face.

"Emma, I could use some help here."

"Mama, I wanna redo my entrance!" Emma whined. "Why? I like that side of you." Mama caressed Emma's cheeks.

"The five year old side of me?"

"No, the side of you that mindful and considerate of everyone in the family!"

Emma smiled brightly as mama said that. "Thanks!"

My beloved mother and siblings, the entire house is my family.

We all sat down at the dining table.

"Right on time. Let's say our grace." We clapped our hands together.

They were my everything.

"Let's dig in!"

I laughed as Phil had crumbs all over his mouth.

The plush beds, the food that tasted gourmet, our Snow White uniforms, the identification numbers on our necks and...

"We will begin now."

The litany of daily exams.

"Question 1, please select the figure that cannot be a possible net of solid A"

Beep!

"Question 17.."

"Question 26..."

"Question 32...

"Question 46..."

"Question 60..."

"Type two shall commence shortly." The voice in my headphones said.

I pulled off my headphones and laid my had on the table.

"I'm beat!" "We're done!" "Whew!"

"I got half of them right!" Thoma boasted. "Half?! That's amazing!" Mark gasped in amazement.

"You're so good...I didn't have a clue. It's been like this for a while." Conny sighed as she hugged little Bernie.

"I'll be returning your exam scores~" Mama said with a sing song tone.

"Emma, Norman, Ray. Splendid job you three! You each got 300s again!" Mama cheered.

I frowned. 'The marks I got were probably in the 200s or the 100s.' Shaking my head, I stared up at them with determination in my eyes, 'doesn't matter! I'll catch up to them!'

After the exams, we were allowed to play to our hearts content.

"Yikes! Norman you're it!"

"Do you want to play Ray?" I asked.

"I'll pass."

Emma sighed. "Would it kill you to come and play with us once in a while?" I nodded in agreement, pouting, "tag is fun! Don't be a killjoy, Ray." But a smile soon spread across my face, "whatever, maybe next time!" I patted his fluffy hair before running off to the crowd of children gathering in front of us.

Norman smiled. "I'll start counting!"

"One~"

I ran deep into the forest.

"Two~"

I climbed up one of the trees.

"Three~"

I began to jump on the branches.

"Four~"

I hid in one of the trunks and placed a hand over my mouth.

Norman chuckled. "So most chose the woods for cover huh?"
