I laid on the soft grass, closing my eyes softly. "What's wrong Y/N? Didn't get much sleep last night?" Norman asked.

"Ray, you too."

I shook my head. "I-It's nothing."

Emma snickered. "Don't tell me you two were up last night together."

My face heated up. "Emma! D-Don't say such things!" I sat up slowly, before turning to look at the black-haired male. He seemed a bit unwilling to talk, which made me feel a bit guilty. 'Did I make him uncomfortable last night?'

Norman chuckled softly, "so did you find the trackers' location?" I turned back to face Norman and Emma once they started speaking.

Emma nodded. "It's in the ears!"

"The ears huh?"

Ray touched the back of his ears. "Never expected it to be a the back of the ears, but you can definitely feel it once you know where it is." My heart sank a bit as I heard his voice, my eyes fixated on the grass in front of me.

"This is also the first I hear about these 'blood test markings,'" said Norman. "Who would've thought the scars were small enough to fade that quickly?"

Emma gripped the ball tightly. "I'm sorry, I knew about it all along but never said anything because it didn't seem odd."

"No worries Emma!" Norman exclaimed. "because of you and Y/N, we were able to find the location, size and shape of the trackers! Now we can finally move on to the next step."

"How to get rid of them."

"But how do we do that? We can't just make an incision and look around, we'll get-" "busted right away." Ray continued on with what I was saying.

"We can't hide the wounds with our hair, she combs our hair backwards frequently."

Emma trembled. "Just thinking about her finding the incision is bad for my heart..."

'She always brushes our hair behind our ear and Ray and Norman have pretty short hair so we won't be able to hide it! Not only that, she tracks us using that little pocket watch, she might get a signal if we break it.'

"But it's not like she will get a signal the moment any of us are near the wall or the fence anyways. For some reason, those demons think that as long as these trackers are intact, they don't need to worry about any child escaping. No matter how far we run, they'll always be on our tails." Ray continued. "The trackers must be the same for every child. They need to go to that area to see for themselves. These gadgets do have limited functions."

'Mama definitely knows how many children there are in this planation, the moment a tracker is broken...'

"What if mama knows whether the trackers are broken, she knows how many children there are here so the moment a tracker is broken, she would know."

Ray nodded his head in understanding. "Sounds like a possibility."

All of a sudden, Norman gasped. "What if the trackers were designed to notify the enemy if a tracker was broken."

"Another possibility. They can find us as long as it's intact, agree or disagree?" Ray began. "It's not surprising if an alarm would be set off the moment the tracker was destroyed. But it's only a theory, we shouldn't ignore Y/N's theory too."

"But..."  Emma's voice quivered. "Mama has been dropping countless of hints that she's constantly tracking us... she's trying to make us lose hope of escaping, we can't just break it at anytime, it can only be the time we leave."

"Then what do we do now?!" I shrieked.

"About the trackers, leave it to me." Ray declared.

Norman shrugged. "If you insist."

"Then it's time for the next step: Finding a way to bring everyone with us." Norman thought for a bit. "The main problem is that everyone here trusts mama. The kids wouldn't be able to handle the truth, especially the younger ones."

"So do we have to lie?"

My eyes widened at Emma's words. "L-Lie? We can't lie to the kids! They could lose trust in us!"

"And not only that, some have low stamina... while some are dumb."

"Ray! Don't say that!" I grumbled, furrowing my eyebrows.

"But, you can't deny it. Half of the kids here can barely walk, how can you expect them to be able to run? And even though half can walk, some can barely even run. There's only one way... we can't take them all."

I froze, trembling. I stared at the ground. 'Ray's right... we can't all survive out there. We might end up having to sacrifice a few! We can't traumatise them... especially the young ones...'

"I've thought all about that!" Emma yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts. "I have an idea!"

-----Time skip-----

I ran through the woods, leading my team of younger ones.

"We'll use tag."

I shushed the kids as i looked around, making sure the coast was clear.

Norman is going to be it, everyone will run from him

"Stay together everyone!" I whispered to the kids.

"Using their heads and bodies, we'll train them while using a game as a disguise."

I climbed up a tree with Mark and Jemina while the other kids ran through. We jumped from tree to tree, from branch to branch.

"Although we can't guarantee whether we'll be able to outrun the demons."

Chris noticed his footsteps embedded in the dirt. "Oh right! Norman looks for these." He quickly covered it up and we continued running.

"We should at least teach them the basics of escape!"

"Okay, we'll split ways, don't forget to keep your guard up." The kids nodded and we went in different directions.

I rushed to the east and saw Norman, Emma and the other kids. "Hey-" I stood rooted to the ground when I saw her.

"It seems like all of you are having fun!" Sister Krone grinned. "Care to let me join?"
