Y/NI led him to Norman's bed, but I didn't tell him my purpose. As I knelt on the floor, reaching for the rope, I felt nothing. Ray didn't seem to question my intentions. I then got up, staring up at Ray.
His body seemed quite relaxed, and his eyes didn't leave mine. 'He seems at ease...', "I'm just helping Norman." I stood up, turning away until I stopped in my tracks. "You're... not suspecting me?" I raised an eyebrow, turning my head to look back at him.
He raised an eyebrow, confused until his eyes widened, averting his gaze. My lips curved upwards into a smile as I leaned closer, "it's surprising, really. I thought you'd it figure out by now. I didn't tell you that I was helping Norman until after I checked under his bed. Is it because you didn't think I could ever be the traitor? Or maybe because you know who the traitor is? Or maybe..." a smirk was plastered on my face, "you're the traitor all along."
Ray blinked a few times, and I could see sweat trailing down the side of his head. "H-Hold on... what are you talking about? Just because I didn't suspect you doesn't mean-" I stepped away from him and sat on the bed, turning my head to the door. "Norman! You can come in now."
Norman opened the door, stepping into the room. His eyes held an unreadable glint as he walked towards us. "The rope beneath your bed is gone." I pointed.
Ray seemed stunned as he watched us converse. Noticing this, Norman turned to glare at him.
"You think I set a trap for only two people? I set a trap for three, including, you." Norman explained. "I'll tell Don it's under my bed, and Gilda, in the ceiling of the second floor bathroom. That's what I told you but actually, I told Don that the rope was in the dining hall and Gilda that the rope was in the ceiling of the library."
I shrugged. "But of course, if you think that Don or Gilda is the mole then we can both check. Right now."
Ray stayed silent.
"I wasn't planning to help Norman at all, but I knew he had a plan to catch the mole." I patted Norman's shoulder, "and he pulled it off successfully, as always, Norman."
"You have a plan to catch the mole, don't you, Norman?" I sat on my bed, staring at the white-haired male in front of me.
"Oh? And what makes you so sure? I could be the mole too," he smiled.
I chuckled, shaking my head. "You see... those words are the reason why you could never be the mole. If you were the mole, then that means that you've already told Mama about us going to the gate, and most likely, you know of Mama's plans. However, you instead chose the escape date two weeks later, why is that Norman?" I leaned back against my palms, "and besides, if you really were the mole, or if Emma were the mole, the rope would already be gone the day we went to the wall."
He nodded, a finger on his chin, "you're really smart for someone who doesn't get perfect scores."
I smiled, a hand on my chest, "I'm flattered by the compliment, Norman, but don't forget I'm still better at you when it comes to our physique and agility~!" I teased, watching as he shook his head. I sighed through my nose, "but if you really do have a plan to catch the mole, add one more suspect." I raised my index finger, "Ray."
He chuckled, "don't worry, I've already had him on my line of suspects."
I threw my head back, closing my eyes. "Don't tell him that I know about your plan." My head dropped back down to look at Norman, "I have a plan."
"The both of us didn't really suspect Don and Gilda but we also had to beware of the possibilities." I stared into those dark green orbs of his. "You know, I was already suspicious of you. The hair, the intelligence, how unfazed you were when we told you the truth about the house, the horror on your face when Norman decided our escape date. I saw it all. Don't act all innocent, the truths out." I pointed out, narrowing my eyes. "And I'm sure Norman did too."
