"Oof!" I sounded as I was hit with a snowball.

"Ray!" I huffed, throwing a snowball back at him, making him yelp.

"I'm gonna kill you!" He yelled, throwing a snowball at me.

I laughed as we initiated a snow ball fight, of course, he dodged as I threw and I got hit.

"Go Y/N! Go Y/N!" Emma cheered.

Thump!

I turned and saw Norman laying on the ground.

"It's a crime scene!" Emma screeched, making me gasp. We ran over to him as I cried, "E-EH?!! NORMAN'S DEAD?!"

"Norman! Don't die! Please!" I attempted CPR on him, while tears rolled down my cheeks..

"He's not dead idiot." Ray smacked me. I turned to him, lips quivering. "How do you know that?!" I cried, before turning my attention back to Norman.

He sighed and dragged Norman's lifeless body inside.

"Mama! Norman fainted!" Emma yelled.

Mama ran over with a thermometer and measured his temperature.

"Seems like a cold."

She smiled and walked over to me, kneeling down and patting my head.

"Norman's okay, Y/N. Don't cry."

"Yeah, don't cry." Ray wiped my tears and I sniffled. "He just has a cold so stop crying."

Mama called us all over.

"Okay, kids. No one is allowed to enter the infirmary! You MUST stay away!" She emphasised the word 'must,' making Emma and I freeze.

--------

I sat beside Ray as he read a book.

"Is Norman really going to be okay?" I asked.

"Of course he will. It's just a cold. I read in a book that you can cure a cold faster by passing it to someone else." I gasped hearing that, ready to get up and rush to the infirmary.

"But it's a lie. Don't even think about going to Norman."

I pouted. "If it were a lie, why tell me?"

"It was an attempt to make you happy." He confessed, not looking up from his book.

My eyes widened hearing that.

Smiling and rested my head on his shoulder, staring up at him.

"Being here with you already makes me happy!"

He looked away, his cheeks a shade of pink. "S-Shut up, idiot!"

I giggled, shaking his head. 'Probably just the weather.'

-(END OF NEW YEARS SPECIAL)-

We assembled outside The House.

"I'll review everything." Ray began. "After lunch, during free time, I'll keep mama preoccupied. Norman, Emma and Y/N will climb the wall and carry out the investigation. Don and Gilda will be stationed outside in a place where they can see the south facing windows of the second floor."

"If by any chance I am unable to distract mama, I will signal Don and Gilda. You two will then head to the wall and tell the trio to cease all investigations. You will head back to the House immediately, understand?"

We nodded.

"It is likely mama is suspicious. It doesn't seem like she figured out yet but we can't be too optimistic either. There's always a possibility she didn't take my bait."
