The investigation.

Climbing over the wall and checking what's outside.

Deciding our route and the necessities.

Sister Krone already knows what we're up to.

Running through the forests, Emma swiftly climbed up to the trunk, pulling out the bag of rope.

As for Norman and I, we rushed to the wall.

Sister Krone already knows what we're up to.

She wasn't there during lunch.

It's a possibility that she is planning on reporting us to Mama.

As we were a few steps away from the gate, we heard a rustle that increased in volume, along with footsteps.

My breath hitched as I kept my ears out, 'judging by the noises... Don and Gilda shouldn't be here... Ray should be distracting Mama...'

"Emma..." Norman whispered.

"Yeah."

We saw a large shadow emerge from the trees, and my eyes widened. 'What is she doing here?!;

Sweat trailed down my forehead and I felt a lump in my throat that made it hard to swallow. My blood ran cold as I froze.

"Mama? What's up?" Emma asked.

Mama only smiled.'

My eyes turned sharp as I looked for an opening. 'What to do...' I bit down on my lower lip.

'She must've figured us out. We need to halt the investigation now!'

What's her aim?

Where's Don?

Where's Gilda?

Ray?

Where are they?

Don't tell me...

She's planning on shipping us all out?!

"Ten years."

She sighed. "Ten years, we spent together. But I suppose, this is the first time we've ever spoken without any acting involved."

I was right.

She did figured us out.

With a hand on her abdomen, she bowed. "Nice to meet you, Emma, Norman, Y/N."

Tension filled the air quickly.

She cackled. "Oh, children. Don't feel so tense, there's no need for that! It's only me, nobody else. You don't need to act like good little children anymore." I gulped.

Her eyes turned dull as she grinned. "After all, our relationship... is only a farmer and her animals."

!!!

"But don't get me wrong, darlings! It's true, really! I love you all as my real children. That's why I came all this way, to stop you three. Give up." She spoke firmly. Her grin was the same as ever, the same grin we've all seen for the past 10 years, but her eyes; they were different.

"Give up, what?" Norman asked.

Being adults?

Escape?

Living?

"Resistance."

She continued. "I love you all dearly. I don't want you all to suffer. I don't want to become the cause of your suffering! Don't you all agree? You grew up with good food and love. You'll die fulfilled!" Once, for just a second, I saw in her eyes, the love, the pity, the warmth that she's always shown us during our 10 years here.
