We headed towards the stairs.

Feeling my heart beat rapidly and my stomach churn, I called out. "You guys can go first, I just need to do something."

They nodded, "make sure you come to dinner in time!" Emma smiled, and I smiled back. Then, they went first.

As they left, I turned around, gazing at the pair.

"Looks like someone snuck into mama's room."

I approached them, hands in my pockets as my smile dropped.

"Yeah, we did. So what?" Don glared. "Doesn't change the fact that you lied to us!"

I shook my head, looking at them up-and-down. "We'll discuss this after dinner. The others are waiting for you two. Give me the key."

I stuck my hand out, making Don and Gilda's eyes widen. "How did you know we had the key?"

"Hand it over." I demanded, eyes darkening. "Now."

Don sighed before pulling out the key.

Closing my hand and shoving it into my pockets, I gave them a smile. "I'll see you two at the dining hall!"

Skipping away, I could hear Don faintly whisper.

he's a psycho... very much a psycho.

"Mama!"

I exclaimed, seeing her at the end of the hallway, near her room.

Skipping towards her, I pulled out the key.

"I found this on the floor. You should really be careful, mama!" I purposely puckered my lips into a tiny pout, before curving upwards into a smile.

Her eyes shot wide before softening and smiling. "Thank you, my dear~"

"Come on mama! The others are waiting for you."

Mama nodded. "Alright, but I'd like you ask you a question."

"What is it?"

"Did you happen to go to the gate the day Conny left?"

I froze.

She knows. She knows. She knows. What do I do? Shit shit shit.

"Mama~ why did you think I would go to the gate? Do you not trust me? Did I do something wrong?" I whined, pouting as I furrowed my eyebrows.

She chuckled before shaking her head. "It's nothing, dear. Of course I trust you! Now run along, I'm sure the younger ones will be looking for you, especially Phil."

I nodded. "Alright! I'll be on my way."

As I turned around, she placed a hand on my shoulder. "But of course, going to the gate is a wrong doing and it's going against the rules." Mama said in a threatening-type of tone. "But I'm sure you wouldn't do that, wouldn't you, Y/N?"

'Okay... okay... just like before. She bought it, right?'

"Mama, are you doubting me again? Come on, what did I do to make you doubt me?" I huffed, turning around and crossing my arms. "Do you seriously not trust me? Mama, how could you~?" I shook my head, feigning betrayal.

She grinned, patting my head. "Oh darling, how could you ever think like that? I trust you, I was just over-thinking."

I nodded, my lips curving into a sweet smile. "I'll see you at the dining hall!"

I ran away in a playful manner.

Stopping near a wall far from her, I clutched my chest, panting.

'Holy shit... she didn't suspect anything right? My acting skills were spot on, right? No... she knows but... she isn't confronting me? She's definitely up to something... up to something evil.'
