Y/N
"A civil war, so that must've been their plan the whole time..." Father scoffed as he threw his head back against the leather couch we sat on, across from each other. I furrowed my eyebrows, noticing his rather relaxed form. "You don't seem worried, Father." I spoke, before averting my gaze from him to the table between us. "Forgive me for... meddling in personal affairs." I muttered beneath my breath.
Yet, he chuckled, as if amused by the whole situation. "Father?" He shook his head, "this could be a good chance for us, don't you think? Besides..." his eyes narrowed, a smirk on his face as if he just figured out the enemy's weakness. "Whether Her Majesty defeats the rebels, or not, we'll always be the peacemaker between both worlds."
"So you'll let them fight to their deaths, then?" I questioned, "what if Her Majesty dies in the fight? What will we do then?" My bottom lip jutted out in a pout as I feigned worry, though internally, I could really care less.
He took a sip out of the tea, before placing it back onto the saucer as he spoke, "you don't have to worry about that, my son. However, I must say, those rebels are really intelligent... I wonder what Grandma Isabella fed all of you to turn you all into such incredible children." I chuckled at the praise, shaking my head. "Doesn't matter, they'll all be transferred to the new Lambda research facility once all of this is over. And besides, we've already sent our troops to search for the rebel's hideout. We're one step ahead of them." I leaned back against the soft plush of the chair, "I know them. Emma will head to the Royal Capital to stop Norman, they'll see our troops and head back to the hideout, we'll follow them. They'll think that what they're doing is right, going back to protect their family. Yet, they're leading them to their deaths." An airy chuckle escaped me, my explanation of the thought process done and dusted.
He nodded in understanding, smile similar to a proud father. "Well done. You really are my son.-"But I must question, what was the real purpose of turning me into the being I am today?" My smile dropped as I stared at the transparent, yellow solution in my teacup. Asking a question like that to The Peter Ratri, 'was I asking for a death wish?' I wasn't sure, but the minute those words left my mouth, I could feel the tension in my body rising, my blood running cold, yet warm.
He sighed, standing up and walking over to his desk, his hand sliding over the smooth, brown, wooden surface. "I'm sure you have many questions, I'll answer them once this is all over-" "you're going to kill me once this is all over, won't you?"
My hands gripped onto the sleeves of my blazers until my knuckles grew white, my eyes fixated on the floor beneath me; lips quivering and eyes glossy. Noticing the pause in his footsteps, and the heavy breaths escaping him, I stood up. "Apologies, it was an idiotic question." "Y/N-" "Father." I cut him off, "you don't have to deny it. No one will accept a mutant half-ie like me." I shook my head, walking towards the door. "I'll act well," I gave him a smile, radiant like summer. "So watch me, okay?"
The last few seconds before the door shut behind me, I could feel the sadness in his eyes, evident in his gaze; once warm, once evil.

'He may still be alive.'
The weight of Emma's words. Whenever I thought back to what she said, my heart would pound against my chest even harder, even faster.
'Y/N's alive. He is alive.'
The rhythm of the horse's feet as it galloped across the forest, mixed with the vibrations. Will I see him when we reach the Capital? What would he say? What would I say? My stomach grew all fuzzy, butterflies flying around inside me, as I thought about the numerous possibilities of our meeting.
