Splendid work, Y/N!
Truly splendid..."Emma seemed quite pissed just now." Ray said.
I chuckled, "Don't worry, Emma was just looking out for you! You know how caring she is..." I smiled, placing my hands behind my head and walking In a relaxed manner as I stared up at the clear blue sky.
"I know that you've been working hard all these years just to ensure our safety. You've been fighting by yourself, you had to take matters into your own hands when you were only a child. It's been tough but it's alright, you're not alone anymore, Ray!"
Ray gazed at me before turning away. "You idiot..."
"What?"
"What're you guys talking about?" Norman walked over.
"It's none of your business, Norman." Ray replied.
Norman sighed. "Guess it must be something personal, huh?" He smirked, staring at Ray.
"Hey guys!" Emma called out. "Once we're back at the house, I have something to report!"
Once the two turned away, I gazed at Ray, before intertwining our hands together. He raised an eyebrow at the gesture, only for a smile to spread across my face. "I meant what I said. I... last night... I didn't like the look on your face." I stared at the grass beneath us as we walked.
"Are you calling me ugly?" I chuckled at Ray's puzzled expression and the tone in his voice. I shook my head, caressing his knuckles with my thumb. "No... no... that's not what I mean. What I meant was that... I don't ever want to see you like that ever again. You endured for so long, and it was as if you went insane. I guess it was inevitable; not being able to tell anyone about the truth of the House and the person you're supposed to trust being the villain of it all." I sighed, looking forward. "But now, you have us. So don't be afraid to speak out," my gaze flicked back to him, "we're in this, together."
A gasp caught our attention. "Ray and Y/N are holding hands?!" I heard Lani and Thoma shriek in shock. Emma and Norman also turned to look at us. "Woah! Did you finally tell-" Ray let go of my hand, slapping it against Emma's mouth. "Shut. up." Ray spoke through gritted teeth, whispering something to the two. A chuckle escaped me as I sped up, walking in front of the trio. "Let's just head back to the house quickly, okay?"
BACK AT THE HOUSE
"So, what's the report?"
"Well, in order to read the enemy, we have to know the enemy first! So Gilda and I have been trying to observe mama and we found out that she always disappears a little before 8pm every night."
Gilda nodded. "In conclusion, there's a secret room that none of us know about."
Tuesday, 31st October, 8 days until the day of escape.
"A secret room?"
"Yup! And it's location is right next to Mama's room."
"Her room has a washroom next to it and her office right next to the washroom. Our theory is that this wall isn't just wall." Emma circled the area between the washroom and the office.
"Lately, I noticed that she always enters the washroom or the office before disappearing. So we measured the distance between the insides and the outsides of both rooms." Hearing Gilda's observation, Don questioned. "What're the results?"
"Both are completely different. There's some sort of space worth 10 steps of mine in there. One side of that space is a wall, the other, a bookshelf."
I thought for a bit. "So you think that there's a secret entrance to that secret room that is inside the space from both sides?"
