"WHERE WERE YOU?!?"

It was currently Saturday morning, M/n had come back home for a spare change of clothes for morning practice later on. However he was stopped at the door by his one and only younger sister.

"Sorry sorry Toka! I forget to text you last night."

Their mom was currently on a small business trip, so Hitoka being left alone without any warning from her brother gave the girl's anxiety an extreme rise.

"I was with Tobio, I'm fine Toka please stop shaking me."

The girl stopped her actions but still gripped tightly into the hoodie he wore. "Sorry sorry!"

After catching her breath she finally let go of the boy.

"So how was golden week? Didn't you say something about going against another school?" She asked as she helped the boy settle down in the apartment.

"It was great! Go some good blocks against that one mohawk guy." He chuckled as her recalled Yamamoto's face when ever he was blocked.

"Although I didn't get a lot of sets tossed to me though." He said as he placed his bag in his room. Recalling that he must have only gotten at least 3 sets to him. The most receiving them being Hinata, Tanaka, and Asahi.

A small frown appeared on his face which he quickly change into a small smile.

"But I mean I'm not that good at spiking so I guess that makes sense." He let out a sad chuckle.

Suck so much that Tobio hardly gave me any of his sets. Do I really suck that much? Nono com'mon we agreed to stop thinking like that, I probably didn't have any openings.

Yeah that good be it. Right?..

"Hey com'mon don't say that! I'm sure your great at the spiking!" Hitoka popped in, in attempts to make her brothers confident boost.

"Heh thanks Toka. Hey we have a practice today, wanna come and check it out? I'm sure the guys wouldn't mind."

"Oh nono" the blond said with her hand waving frantically. "I wouldn't want to intrude! Besides I have to put some last minute touches on a project."

"Tsk nerd!" M/n called out as he picked out a shirt and shorts from his drawers. Quickly feeling a painful jab on his side of his stomach. "Whatever simp!" She laughed out.

M/n falling to the floor letting out a pained groan. Hitoka started to freak out kneeling down and apologizing a million times..

"Hitoka... How could you betray me like this." M/n dramatically place his arm over his eyes. This blond face switch from worry to a 'you fucking serious' one. She side and jabbed him in the stomach once again.

"You don't hurry up you'll be late!" She yelled as she ran back to her room before her brother could try and take revenge.

M/n layed on the floor once again, letting out a silent scream as he felt the pain flow through his body.

"Imma getchu back man." He mumbled to himself as he tried to stand up

After Daichi announced the sheet for the Preliminaries, it was straight to work and doing drills.

"M/n-san!!" Hinata yelled from across the court bouncing over with a ball in hand.

M/n turned over an sighed in defeat, today was the day Hinata wanted to practice with him and not Kageyama.

"Ight come here shorty. Shimizu-san! Could you toss for us!" He asked the upperclassmen, she gave a soft smile and nod as she made her way over.

"Oh that's right! You use to be a setter huh N/n??" Noya asked as he approached to watch. Ennoshita nodded while coming up behind him.

"Yeah M/n was one of the better ones. I don't rlly understand why he would give it us so easily."

Hinata gave the ball to Kiyoko and ran over to his position. "Ready?"

The two boys nodded.

I know I'm gonna be a little bit rusty but please for the love of who knows who don't let me embarrass myself in front of everyone especially tobio-

The ball was soon tossed up into the air making it's way to M/n. He quickly made his way under the ball and reached his hands out.

Just do it how you Toru taught you.

Hinata started to make his approach, almost going at full towards the net.

Now!!

The ball gently touched his hands as he briefly touched it and sent it to the sky again. It headed for the ginger but never made contact with his hand.

It was too far.

Time seemed to slow down as M/n heart sank and his mind because overwhelmed with thoughts.

"M/n try again!" Tanaka yelled out as he dove down to retrieve the ball sending it to around were M/n was.

Time went back to it original pace and the middle blocker ran to the spot to ball was going to drop.

"Hinata!" This time he jumped to set the ball, it wasn't as high since it's been awhile.

Hinata made his second approach rather quickly this time and the ball was set.

It made contact with his hand and met the other side of the court. For that brief moment time slowed down for M/n again, but this time it wasn't so bad. He was able to see the ball successfully hit the other side.

The gym was quiet for just a few seconds then erupted in screams.

Immediately the boy was trampled by the some of the guys.

"DUDE WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT! IT WAS SO FAST HOW?!!"

"HELK MIGHT AS WELL GO BACK TO BEING A SETTER HUH!"

"THAT WAS SO COOL!!"

Sugawara came up and placed his hands upon the middle blockers shoulders. "I here by announce you our honorary setter!" He said jokingly, but had a hint if seriousness in him. "Right Kageyama?"

The both turned towards the ravenette, the thoughts in M/n's head eating him up little bit little, anticipating what he may say.

He gave a soft smile that pretty much shocked everyone. "Yeah, it was a good toss."

Kageyama messed with the hem of his jean jacket as he stood outside the Yachi apartment complex.

He mustard up the courage and knocked on the door. Immediately hearing footsteps running down the stairs. Followed by a muffled "I'm heading off!"

The door abruptly opened presenting a causal dressed M/n with a [F/C] shirt and black ripped jeans. He couldn't help but leap onto his boyfriend for a hug when meeting him. Yes it has only been a couple of hours since seeing each other, but M/n was really excited Kageyama was the one taking him on the date.

He'd usually say away from it or be to nervous to initiate it.

Tobio returned the hug and chuckled "you ready?"

M/n pulled back and aggressively nodded his head and giggled a bit. The setter took him my the hand and intertwined their fingers.

"Let's get going then, honorary setter."
