Joyeus yelling came from every person standing outside. It was a chilly night, it being mid winter, but Indra and Lando felt warm standing next to each other. The Brit turned towards his girlfriend who looked back at him and they leant in to kiss. It was a just a new year's kiss, but it meant much more than that.
"Happy new year, Lan, I am so happy to have you in my life, you have no idea."
"Happy new year to you too, Indy. Neither have you got a clue how much you mean to me and how much I love you."
They smiled like teenagers in love and held on in an embrace. Their friends were surrounding them, also being outside to celebrate and watch the fireworks explode in the night sky. The brightest colors popped and the couple pointed out the ones they liked most. And despite the thunderous bangs of the fireworks and their friends talking loudly, the world seemed to be a better place than a year ago.
Because at last, they had each other 🤍🖤
