This is the ending of Melting You Softly. I am truly grateful that you became a part of my first attempt of Student Series. I apologize for my errors and inconsistencies. Everything is still unedited. Some unanswered questions here might be answered in the following installment/s. See you on Estes #2. Stay safe and healthy. I love you until tomorrow ends!

After a series of contemplation, I decided not to put the additional scenes in this version.

Epilogue

Law of Inertia states that an object either remains at rest or moves at a constant speed unless an external force acts upon it. The reason why every time I want to rest, I will. And if I want to keep on studying, I will. That's how I apply that law to myself. The only external force that stirs me or stops me from breaking this law of motion is whenever my sister comes into my room.

"Kuya Axe, I told Kuya Aji that urine comes from the blood po! E 'di ba urine is part of the liquid fraction of our blood? Po? Hindi siya naniniwala!" my 8-year old sister said.

"Coming from you? 8 years old? Paano ako maniniwala?" si Kuya.

Katatapos ko lang gawin ang assignment sa dalawang subject. I don't like the idea of procrastination hence I never applied it to myself. If I can do it now, why do it later, let alone minutes before the due date? I'm interested in physics but applying pressure on myself just to work is not necessary. I can work without pressure.

"I'm reading it in advance po. Bakit ikaw po, Kuya? You're already a high schooler but you still don't know it? Po?!"

"You're not supposed to say 'po' at every end of your sentence just to sound polite," iniba ni Kuya ang usapan. "At hindi ka pa tapos sa assignment mo, baka nakakalimutan mo po, bata? Halika na!"

I emitted a sigh and relaxed my head against the headboard, closing my eyes in the process. I wonder how they ended up arguing about urine being a fraction of blood? It is true, though, and I'll be glad to explain how it happened only if my brother hadn't lifted our little sister off the ground.

"Ehh! Let's ask Kuya Axe first po! Kuya!"

"Hindi nga po galing sa dugo iyon! Kung oo, bakit hindi kulay pula?"

"'Cause I said it's only a fraction po. Don't you know what is fraction either? Po?" ang huli kong narinig sa kapatid ko bago naisara ang pinto ng aking kuwarto.

I chuckled after hearing that. My sister's growing up just like me, curious mostly about anything science-related. Meanwhile, my brother is inclined more toward information technology. I guess it is because he usually hangs out with our father's friend's daughter, whose family's business and expertise are in modern technology.

"Hindi mo pa tapos?" tanong ni Raghnall sa kagrupo namin sa Araling Panlipunan.

Napasuklay ako sa buhok. Tiningnan ko si Asia na nagbabasa ng kanyang libro habang nakakunot ang noo. She's one of the smartest students I've known in our batch. This girl really loves reading book, huh. Not only textbooks.

Well, if it's about Philippine history, I won't also rely solely on textbooks that could be easily fabricated or manipulated. It is better to have in-depth research about history to know what really happened in the past. They know what is the event in that specific year or years, but do they really know what happened during those years? Do they believe all the textbooks are telling us, the students?
