Evelyn's pov:
It's currently 9:27 at night. Three minutes until Luke said he would get here.
And I am a nervous wreck.
Excited, but very nervous.
Nervous because this is my first date in what feels like centuries, and also I've got no indication on what we'll be doing tonight.
Like seriously, what do you do on a date that starts at 9:30 at night?
He's left me completely in the dark with tonight, only telling me to dress in something warm.
But I'm excited because I'll be seeing him again.
As much as the thought terrifies me of really liking someone after my last relationship, Luke has made it feel a lot easier to do in my few weeks of knowing him.
Especially after last night and this morning, seeing how kind and gentle he was with me in my moment of weakness. It really showed me his true colors, and that was like a breath of fresh air.
I'm still oblivious to a lot of things about him, mostly when it comes to his work and his life before me, but I'd like to think I've got a good grasp on what his heart truly is like.
I don't think he could be that good of an actor, fooling me into believing he's gotten a hidden softer side. That's not something I'd think he'd do, because what would his benefit be from it?
My eyes glance back over at the clock illuminating in green on the microwave.
