I was 5 years old now. Soon to be six. That meant I would soon become known to the people of Gehna. Not to say it wasn't known there was a princess but children were supposed to be kept out of any major public eye until reaching the age of 6 when they were finally baptized.

Over the last two years I'd been staying at our Cabin while Charlene or one of my parents would remain, the other maid and butler only came here twice a week now, I'd gotten better at using my healing powers but my darkness seemed to be no more.

Of course I never had much time to worry about that as Sharon began my schooling program, though not just for me Sophie also had to attend much to her dismay. That being said things like Mathematics and writing were of no issue for me. History was strange as in many ways it was an even bigger bore for me but I recently managed to obtain a modern history book thanks to Sophie.

It was interesting reading about the events of the war between Lux and Gehna and the two years I spent dead/not yet born.

Surprisingly the books seemed to depict me, as Excella, as more of a Martyr than an evil monster saying I struck down the tyrant king but unfortunately lost control of my powers and perished in the final battle.

Why go through all this effort though when it'd be easier to simply write me off as the villain? Well Lisia and Caius were the ones present in the final battle so their word was the account given.

The rebuilding of Gehna and them regaining independence was quite interesting however I hadn't read that far yet.

So the thing that had been on my mind was the Legendary Hero Caius, aka my father. He was from another world but he never talked about his time before coming here and rarely about anything before meeting mother.

So I decided today I would ask him.

Then later that night my chance arrived. Mother was having to work with Sharon to prepare for an upcoming banquet and Sophie was in our bedroom, yes we still shared, reading some sort of books she called comics. They were sort of like my picture books but apparently they existed to tell a story rather than teach a moral. The artwork seemed nice but I never sat down to read any... eh maybe eventually. Sophie would probably lend me one.

But for now dad was my focus. I knew he was in his room so I knocked on the door in my usual pattern

*knock knock* pause *knock knock*

The door quickly opened and I saw the tall dark haired figure that was my father. His sapphire blue eyes staring into my... well whichever color they were now. (In truth Gehnan mages didn't have a set eye color. I've been told mine swap between blue and red frequently)

"Everything ok Lily" father asked which snapped me back to reality.

"Oh yes. Uhhhh papa can I ask you a personal question?"

He had a puzzled look on his face but ultimately agreed

"I can't promise I'll have the answer you're looking for but go ahead."

"Well papa I was reading this history book and it mentioned how you came from another world. Could you ummm... tell me about your old world?" I asked hoping I wasn't touching upon a sore spot.

"Hmmmm. Well I suppose I could try to explain it but I'll have to provide some background Lily. Is that ok?" He asked me

I nodded rapidly in excitement I never realized it while living as Excella but in my life as Lilian I began to realize I love learning new things.

"Well for Starters Lily. My world didn't exist. It was destroyed long before I was born. I lived on something called an Ark." he told me

Wait his world was destroyed? And what exactly is an ark? The questions just keep expanding.
