If you would have told me in my previous life that I'd be reborn as a princess and somehow I'd be more nervous about my mothers pregnancy than I had ever been in any life or death battle... well you'd be correct.

I'm going to be a big sister. What do I need to get?

Unfortunately I didn't really have any ideas. I decided to try asking the people I knew but I was hit with a bit of realization.

I'm only Seven I don't have any major connections outside of the castle.

Charlene and Lucian were nowhere to be found so there went the two adults I had major contact with.

Mom and Dad were no help at all they just kept saying I didn't need to get them anything.

Sophie suggested carving something for them but I don't have any real skill with knives while she has so much control over them you'd think she had magic.

Uren gave no real advice either. All that's left is...

"Do you need help with something princess?" A young woman with short pink hair said.

Speak of the lady and she appears.

"Oh hello Mirette." I said casually

I saw her relax shortly after and grin before replying "well hello to you too princess Lilian"

She started serving as my third retainer a couple months ago. Apparently Gehna had a rule for royalty to have 3 retainers. One much older as their main guard, one that would grow up alongside them, and one roughly a decade older that had to be the same gender as the royal child they served.

And so came along Mirette. While she wasn't the most elegant looking she was kind to Sophie and I, had amazing eyesight, and near unmatched skills with a bow. Surprisingly despite her being more muscular than most girls her age it actually gave her a fairly cute tomboy look.

I was surprised to hear she had been serving in the Gehnan army since she was a child.

I knew about the conscripts just the same as anyone else. They were brutal and out of the 10000 children only around 500 were still alive today most of them distanced themselves as far from the capital as they could. But for some reason Mirette chose to stay. Even during the Erebos war she was one of the youngest soldiers present but also one of the most experienced, hilarious as that may seem.

"Uhhhh princess ya need something? You're kinda spacing out there." She interrupted my thoughts.

"Aaahhhhh. Oh sorry about that got lost in thought." I replied

"I see. Well that's a bit of a dangerous habit princess Lilian." She spoke

"Ah right... well anyways Mirette I was wondering if you could give me a bit of advice." I told her

"Hmmm well I suppose if you're asking me you've either exhausted your options or it's meant to be a surprise. Is that a fair guess?"

"Yes actually. Well I was wondering... well you see Mom is pregnant so I'm going to be a big sister soon and I was wondering... what should I get them as a gift?" I asked her
