What the hell. Just a day ago I wanted to make something nice for Excella but now we have Lux knocking down our Gate, the King is dead, and almost none of the soldiers are present.

Is this the end of Gehna?

*crash*

A loud noise was heard coming from nearby.

Had they breached the castle already?!?

I needed to keep Excella safe but... would she even let me?

****
"Excella come on it's time to go home."

"I am home Lisia."

"What are you talking about we don't live in the castle anymore."

"Arves is dead Lisia... I'm the Queen now so this castle is my home. Haha"

"But Exce-"

"My Lady"

"Pardon?"

"Heehee I'm in charge now Lisia... you need to address me as my Lady from now on." She spoke like a madwoman.

Tried as I could to continue to speak with her I couldn't get anywhere.

She wasn't listening.

"...very well my Lady. I'll be heading home for the night." I spoke before bowing and leaving.

All I remember about the rest of the night was getting home and crying my eyes out.

I was so caught up in my thoughts I didn't notice the presence right behind me until it tapped me on the shoulder.

I spun around to see... him.

The black armor I'd heard about with the strange glowing lines on his gauntlets. The hero of Lux was right behind me.

His sword was at the ready but when I turned to face him he didn't attack. Instead he raised his off hand making some signal I didn't recognize.

I brought my staff up but decided against striking right away.

"I'm not sure what this means" I mimicked the hand sign he performed before staring back at him.

"It means I want to talk." He spoke

I recognized the voice if only a bit.
The man I met at the market just two days ago.

Oh my god... he was the hero wasn't he.

"It's good to see you again." He spoke in a surprisingly lighthearted tone.

"I wish I could say the same."

"I'm here to put an end to this war. Simple as that." He spoke

Well the war was already a lost cause got Gehna. Ever since we lost Lucian things took a turn for the worse.

"You claim that but... why is that? You're not from Lux so why would you possibly care about either nation?" I questioned him still gripping my staff ready for things to devolve into more fighting.

"You may have heard the rumors but I was summoned here from another world... well that's not completely accurate. My world was destroyed long before I was born and those of us that survived were stuck stranded wandering the stars for a new home."

"So you're saying you came from the stars? As in the ones in the sky correct?" I was surprised to hear such a thing. I figured the whole hero summoning was something else but they took a man from beyond.

"Ok... however why are you so invested in this war? Were you promised a way home if you helped them win?" I asked him. Honestly I'd never been to Lux before so my knowledge was quite limited of nations outside of Gehna and my only interactions were soldiers killing each other.
