Chapter Nineteen - The Sports Festival Ends

After Octus's victory against Todoroki, there was a brief intermission to prepare for the final match. During this intermission, Octus spoke with Lance and Ilana. 

Ilana: How are you feeling, Octus?

Octus: Quite fine. I have studied Bakugo extensively throughout the Sports Festival. He is a very aggressive fighter with his Quirk. 

Lance: I could've told you that. He'll be eager to try to take you down. 

Octus: I'll be fine. Though I am curious if Bakugo will do the same thing Todoroki did. 

Ilana: What do you mean? 

Octus: Throughout the entire Sports Festival, Todoroki was not using his Quirk to it's fullest capabilities. It was as if he was voluntarily limiting himself. It was Midoriya's words that pushed him to use his Quirk to it's fullest capabilities.

As Octus said that, Todoroki had entered the stands, fully recovered from the injuries he sustained from his fight against Octus. As he sits down, he glances over to Octus and says nothing. He glances over to the stands across from him and could see Endeavor. Soon enough, the intermission ended as Octus and Bakugo were called to the stands. Present Mic announces the fight. 

Present Mic(Intercom): ALL RIGHT, LADIES AND GENTLMEN! HERE'S THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS! FROM THE HERO COURSE, NEWTON VS HIS CLASSMATE, KATSUKI BAKUGO!

As the crowd cheered for Octus and Bakugo, Bakugo cracks his knuckles. 

Bakugo: Alright, you plain faced bastard! You might've beaten Icy Hot, but I'm not going down so easily! Give me everything you've got because I'm taking you down!

Octus said nothing as he prepared for the fight. 

Present Mic(Intercom): CLASH!

As the fight began, Bakugo unleashes a powerful explosion with his Quirk and directs it onto Octus. As Octus was engulfed in the explosion, he launches himself at Bakugo, his body covered in flames. As he attacks Bakugo, Bakugo fights back by attacking Bakugo with explosive punches. 

Bakugo: IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT, YOU BASTARD!

As Bakugo pressed the attack, he managed to put Octus on the defensive. This doesn't last long as Octus was quick to counter Bakugo's offensive with a well placed strike which knocks Bakugo off his feet. As Bakugo was knocked back several feet, Bakugo uses his Explosion Quirk to pick himself up. 

Bakugo: You got some pretty powerful attacks, I'll give you that, but it won't be enough to take me down!

Bakugo then uses his Quirk to launch himself at Octus. Octus takes a more defensive approach as he dodges Bakugo's attacks much to his annoyance. 

Bakugo: ARE YOU UNDERESTIMATING ME, YOU BASTARD?! IF YOU'RE GONNA FACE ME, TRY EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO DEFEAT ME! DON'T YOU DARE HOLD BACK!

Bakugo then unleashes his Howitzer Impact attack on Octus, engulfing him in a large explosion. For a brief moment, Octus's true form took shape, but he quickly reverted back to his Newton disguise before anyone could notice. As the smoke clears, Octus lunges at Bakugo and lands a powerful punch at Bakugo's gut. Bakugo retaliates by blasting Octus in the face with a powerful explosion. Octus then lands a powerful uppercut which launches him in the air. Before Bakugo could react, Octus lands another powerful punch which knocks Bakugo out. 

Midnight: THE MATCH IS OVER! NEWTON WINS BY KNOCKOUT! 

Present Mic(Intercom): WHAT A MATCH! WHAT A MATCH! THE WINNER OF THE UA SPORTS FESTIVAL IS NEWTON OF CLASS 1-A! 

As Present Mic made the announcement, the crowd cheered for Octus. After some time, Octus along with a fully healed Todoroki and Bakugo were called to the awards ceremony. Octus was in first place while Bakugo and Todoroki were second and third. They were given medals by All Might himself.

All Might: HAHAHA! YOU ALL DID WELL! CONGRATULATIONS ON THE AMAZING PERFORMANCE!

As All Might handed Octus the medal, he scans the medal and sees the various metals and chemical compounds that make up the medal. Octus shows no visible reaction as he simply looks at All Might. With that, the Sports Festival ended. As everyone began exiting the arena, Octus met up with Lance and Ilana. 

Ilana: Congratulations, Octus!

Octus: Thank you. It certainly was an experience to behold. 

Lance: Not to mention that you took down some serious heavy hitters. I think it's safe to say that you made one hell of an impression on everyone. 

Octus: You would be correct. 

Ilana: I think we all deserve the rest for the hard work we put out today.

With that, Ilana and Lance along with Octus made their way back home to rest. All felt pride with their performance in the Sports Festival and they were prepared to continue their hard work. Meanwhile on Galaluna, Modula ponders on how Ilana was able to defeat the Mutraddi Mega Beast he sent to apprehend her. Soon enough, Xeexi enters the room.

Xeexi: You have summoned me, my master?

Modula: I am in need of your service. Go to the this....Earth and find the Princess.

Xeexi: I do your bidding, my general. 

Modula: I am placing my trust and faith in you. Do not fail me. 

With that, Xeexi bows his head and exits the room. As Xeexi walks to his ship, he orders his underlings to load a large mysterious rock into the ship. Once the ship was loaded, Xeexi entered his ship and departed from Galauna with Earth as his destination.
