As the students of Class 1-A settled into their Dorms, they all prepared themselves for when classes resumed. After having breakfast, Class 1-A made their way to Gym Gamma. When Aizawa entered the building, he spoke to his students.
Aizawa: I believe I mentioned this already, but your main focus this summer is obtaining provisional hero licenses. Do not take this lightly. A hero license means that you're responsible for human lives. You can imagine that the exam to receive one is very difficult. Only 50% of students pass the tests required for these permits each year.
Mineta: It's that hard to get a provisional license?
As Mineta asked this, Midnight along with Ectoplasm and Cementoss entered the room.
Aizawa: In order to prepare, today you'll concentrate on creating something new. Two ultimate moves.
Ectoplasm: When we say 'ultimate', we mean a move that will ensure you win against your opponent.
Cementoss: An action so unique to your identity that no other person can hope to copy it. Simply put, you must learn to lean into your strengths.
Midnight: Your moves represent who you are. These days, most Pro Heroes have an ultimate move. Those who don't are fools.
Aizawa: This may sound abstract, but we'll explain more as the day goes on.
As Class 1-A were given instructions about what they would be doing, everyone was nervous. Ilana shared the class's nervousness while Lance maintained his calm composure. Octus however simply analyzed the situation.
Ilana: It's time we gave it our all!
Lance and Octus said nothing in response to Ilana's words. With that, all of Class 1-A began training to create their ultimate moves. Ectoplasm used his Clones Quirk to create sparring opponents for the students to practice their ultimate moves on. During all this, Octus analyzed his classmates while sparring with an Ectoplasm Clone.
Ectoplasm: The biggest advantage your Quirk has is that it's a jack of all trades. Your Quirk can be utilized in both offensive and defensive scenarios. Use those advantages to create your ultimate move.
Octus began going over all of his abilities. Following Ectoplasm's advice, Octus lands a punch on the Ectoplasm Clone. As the Clone was stunned, Octus blasts him with a powerful energy beam from his chest. After a moment, Octus turns up the power even further, blowing the opponent away.
Ectoplasm: Most impressive, Newton. What shall this new move be called?
Octus took a moment to think of a name. After a moment, Octus had his answer.
Octus: Attack 01171970.
As Octus had his new Ultimate Move mapped into his database, Lance spars against the Ectoplasm Clone.
Ectoplasm: You are always on the offensive, giving your opponents very little time to counter attack. Perhaps that can come into play for your Ultimate Move.
As the Ectoplasm Clone said this, Lance utilized the powers of his Manus armor to launch his attack. He charges at the Ectoplasm Clone and hits the Clone relentless fast-paced beat down. He follows through by kicking the Ectoplasm Clone in the air.
Lance: Now's my chance!
Lance leaps into the air and follows the falling Ectoplasm Clone. While in the air, Lance provokes his target into attacking him, giving him the chance to counter them and, in turn, kick them higher into the air at increasingly greater speeds. Lance lands the final kick on the Ectoplasm Clone, sending him to the ground.
Ectoplasm: Very good, Lance. What is the name of that move?
Lance took a moment to think of a name. The first thing he thought of was the name of Galaluna's greatest general.
Lance: I call it...Tarax's Barrage.
As Lance created his new Ultimate Move, Ilana was sparring against the Ectoplasm Clone.
Ectoplasm: You fight like a defender, stalwart in your aim to defend the innocent. Allow your Ultimate Move to reflect that.
When Ectoplasm said this, Ilana took a deep breath. She then unleashes a barrage of energy blasts to stun the Ectoplasm Clone. She then closes in and lands several strikes on the Ectoplasm Clone.
Ilana: Fear not....for I AM HERE!
Ilana then directs some power into her right hand. She then charges at the stunned Ectoplasm Clone. Midoriya knew exactly what she was about to do. When Ilana got close, she readied to land her strike.
Ilana: GALALUNA SMASH!
When Ilana landed the punch, the Ectoplasm Clone was sent flying against a wall. As Ilana stood tall, she took a deep breath.
Ectoplasm: Well done, Ilana. I see you too have taken inspiration for All Might.
Ilana: All Might may be retired....but we can still honor his legacy.
With that, everyone continued to work on their Ultimate Moves. Soon enough, the training was done and class was dismissed. As they went back to their Dorms, Lance spoke with Ilana.
Lance: Why did you imitate All Might's move?
Ilana: The same way you named your Ultimate Move after General Tarax. I was inspired by All Might. He's the kind of Hero I aspire to be. To be a Symbol of Peace for Galaluna.
As Ilana said that, Lance couldn't help but admire her words. Lance's mind soo fell to the events off the previous night.
Lance: I still believe it was a mistake to reveal ourselves to Midoriya and the others.
Ilana: They had a right to know. We unknowingly put them in the crossfire of our battle with the Mutraddi. They deserve to know what they're facing.
Lance: I hope you're right, Ilana. For all our sakes.
Octus: Only time will tell.
With that, Ilana along with Lance and Octus returned to the Dorms. Meanwhile outside Earth, the Rift Gate opens up and Mordred's ship arrived. In that moment, Mordred had begun his hunt.
